Machinery

Serviced 2019 with a of check, filters, oil and impeller replaced
Last fully overhauled in May 2018 with full engine and gearbox overhaul, new engine mounts, new water pump, new stern gland, and new exhaust elbow. (paperwork is available.)
Hours approx. 65 per year
Fresh and salt water cooling system.
Cruising speed under power approx 8 Knots consuming approx 5 litres per hour.
Stainless steel prop shaft with phosphor bronze 3 bladed self adjusting/reversing Maxprop (no prop crawl going astern) Ambassador rope cutter.

GDI electric windlass (new air foot switches installed October 2019) with 10mm gipsy 60m of 10 mm chain with 40m of cable laid 28mm rope spliced to chain at bow new 2014, with 20kg CQR Anchor.
Stern kedge anchor 15kg Bruce with 10m of 8mm chain shackled to 40m of 20mm Anchor plait rope.
Sprayhood, Bimini, assorted awnings with panel attachments,
New 2016 side/rear netting screens to match bimini, linked to sprayhood for total protection from sun.

Cruising History:
This Elan 43 was one of a limited edition of 12 boats designed by J&J and the keel was laid in 1989 in Yugoslavia.
Part built by Elan Yachting and finished & fitted out in Germany by Elan Yachting , Fehmarn, in 1989. Commissioned in Hamburg in October 1989.

An exceptional sea boat, she has spent a number of years sailing around Pollenςa, (Spain), Preveza, (Greece), Fethiye, (Turkey) and Kos (Greece).

An out of water hull, equipment and rigging survey was carried out for insurance purposes in September 2013 and is available for inspection if required.
