OWNER'S COMMENTS

Flicka VII has been well maintained, as her condition shows. She has been sailed in Danish, Norwegian and Swedish waters (including the Göta Canal twice), before being sailed to Chichester Harbour via the Kiel Canal, German and Dutch Frisian Islands, along the Netherlands ‘mast-up’ route, Zealand, Belgium. Calais and Dover after which she has been cruised to Normandy, the Channel Islands, Brittany and twice to the West Country - all trips of which have been memorable and a delight for her owners.

She will be greatly missed, but, for sentimental reasons, sadly she must go. The time has come for others to enjoy

BOAT DETAILS

Contessa 32 built in 1993 and completed in 1994. Flicka VII was originally under Danish registration, and now under British registration SSR 105848. While in the harsher winter months of Denmark, she, and separately her mast, spent every winter indoors, so had been, up till then, outdoors only six months each year, and since returning to England in 2013, she has been wintered ashore under a heavy duty pvc cover (incl). She is in beautiful condition, and has a comprehensive fit out. She’s never been raced.

This is a fine example of a Contessa 32 built by MJ Slack in Lowestoft, after which she was fitted out in Svendborg, Denmark. Without doubt, the retired Danish boat building craftsman who fitted her out would be right to be proud of her exceptional finish and completing her to a high specification under her previous owner’s demanding eye for quality.
