The Main saloon is entered via steps in the centre of the cabin where there is a large L shaped seating area which converts to a double bed. Internal helm is situated to the port side and a sliding access door to the decks is on both the port and starboard. A large table which doubles as a coffee table and dining table makes this an amazingly comfortable place to relax. Removable floor panels allow easy access to the engine room and daily checks can be made easily. There is plenty of storage within this area from drawers, cupboards, and shelving. There are large windows with numerous openings for ventilation lighting throughout. There is also a folding navigation table for planning you passage Moving forward steps lead down to the galley area which is located to the starboard side. The galley is equipped with a New gas cooker two hobs, grill and oven totally new gas installation. There is a large fridge, stainless steel sink and drainer, storage cupboards below a generous work surface and numerous cupboards to store crockery and supplies. Opposite is the forward heads which consists of a manual toilet, shower and a large basin with hot and cold water. There is storage below the sink for toiletries and towels. Further forward is the guest cabin which is fitted with twin V berths and an extra berth running cross ways at the forward of the cabin. A large table is situated within in this cabin which can double up as a comfortable dining area. To the stern of the boat is a large owner’s cabin with twin bunks, which can be easily converted back to a double berth with generous head room. Large amount of storage can be found in this cabin for long term cruising plus a dressing table and mirror. Opening windows and escape hatch make this a bright and airy room. There is an en suite heads consisting of a manual toilet, shower and large sink with hot and cold water. There is a Webasto heating system throughout the accommodation plus there are curtains to all the windows.
Deck and Upper Helm A stainless-steel pulpit and guard rails around the boat coupled with wide decks make the European a safe and easy boat to get around when mooring. There is a bathing platform to the stern with rear ladder, Davits too stern. A large canopy covers the main helm area which has a helm and seating for navigator. There is a folding radar arch and the windscreens also fold enabling cruising easier in inland waterways.

Broom was founded in 1898 by Charles J Broom at first building individual sailing vessels for the local gentry to sail on the wide-open spaces of the Norfolk Broads. Over the course of the next 100 years Broom have gone from strength-to-strength, offering innovation and quality hand craftsmanship. The Crown 37 offered the traditional spacious aft cabin layout Broom are so well known for with a more modern and stylish design than previous models and paved the way for all subsequent models. Well suited to cruising the inland waterways, estuaries and coastal sea cruising they offer an excellent low maintenance alternative to Pedro, Linssen and similar steel motor yachts.
Broom European 35 is powered by twin 6 cylinder 120hp Ford diesel engines non turbo 1800 hours, (last serviced 2020) shaft drive to 3 bladed bronze propellors, twin lever control, fixed trim tabs, two 360 litre fuel tanks, giving an approximate cruising speed of 8 knots with an approximate maximum speed of 12 knots. Last out of water maintenance June 2020.
