The 242 Series features an all new deck and hull design. Above the waterline, Yamaha increased the height of the freeboard, which gives the 242 Series an impressive profile. The seating area at the bow is wider and longer than ever before to allow the tallest passengers and multiple riders the space to stretch out and lounge while moored. The two-tier stern lounge area and swim platform of the 242 Series is Yamaha’s most impressive design ever, providing more space and more comfort.
2011 YAMAHA 242 Limited S, Standing tall and proud, the forward-swept tower of Yamaha’s 242 Limited S looms above its refined, spacious interior, while bow docking lights accent the distinguished exterior. Pairing an open layout that feels exponentially larger than 24 feet with the explosive power of twin 1.8 liter high output Yamaha Marine engines, the 242 Limited S stakes its rightful claim atop the luxury category.
Without an engine box to work around, Yamaha designers created transom seating that no one else has been able to copy. It’s always been the envy of the competition, and now it’s even better. There are two very comfortable aft facing seats, drink holders, the previously mentioned stereo remote, a removable pedestal table, and padding behind your legs that doubles as a separate padded seatback when you’re sitting on the swim platform. The platform is mere inches above the water making the re-boarding ladder a bit redundant. It’s an attractive and comfortable package, and Yamaha has really hit one out of the park this time.
Returning as the best selling model in its class in 2010 is the Yamaha 242 Series that takes Yamaha Boats to its highest level of sophistication and refinement. Featuring the largest boat platform ever offered by Yamaha, the 24-foot, 11-person, 242 Series was designed from direct customer feedback to include their “wish list” of new features and technology as well as new signature design elements from Yamaha.
The flagships of the Yamaha boat line, the Yamaha 242 Series includes the 242 Limited and the 242 Limited S. The 242 Limited S is the watersports edition of the series that includes a premium aluminum tower with integrated cockpit lighting and speakers.
Above the waterline, the tall freeboard of the 240 Series gives the 242 Limited and Limited S an impressive profile. The seating area at the bow is wide and long allowing the tallest passengers and multiple riders the space to stretch out and lounge while moored. Insert the standard bow filler cushion and you have one of the largest, most comfortable bow seating configurations available in its class.
