About this X-Yachts X-95
The X-95 was a successful IOR half-tonner first produced in 1983. This X-95was launched in 1984. After two years she was laid up ashore for a number of years and was then used lightly until 2015 when she was acquired by her present owners had been very lightly used. Since 2015 she has been substantially reequipped and brought up to date with almost all deck fittings replaced or refurbished, new Selden kicker fitted, mast fittings refurbished or replaced as necessary. All standing and running rigging has been replaced (2016), twin Tuff Luff fitted in 2015. Windows replaced 2017 and LED lighting fitted throughout in 2018. The hull was sandblasted and recoated in 2016 and the rudder re built at the same time. The present owners have used the boat mainly for coastal and cross channel racing but she also has plenty of potential and equipment for comfortable fast cruising. Thistle is eligible for and will need little or no work to enter for the half ton cup to be held in Cowes next summer in which she will qualify as a production boat.Construction
