VESSEL OVERVIEW
ODYSSEY is a 103’ semi-displacement motor built on a Westport fiberglass hull and completed by the family run West Bay Sonship yard in British Columbia. She has a Jack Sarin designed hull and Glade Johnson original interior design, both known for efficient operation and sensible layouts. Recent interior design refit by David McMurphy.
Starting aft, the swim platform has ample room for tender and line handling to the rear mooring cleats. There is a center hatch for access to the stowage and crew accommodations. There are stairs port and starboard of the rear bustle leading to the aft deck seating area. The large teak can accommodate up to ten with six chairs and aft sofa seating for four. Forward to port is an L-shaped bar and console area. Mounted on the davit standpipe is a TV. A curved stairwell to the flybridge is to starboard and just forward is the crew access door. Access to the main salon is through double glass doors.
Entering the carpeted main salon, the main seating area is to port. An occasional chair is aft and the L-shaped sofa is served by a coffee table. To starboard is the entertainment cabinet and a curved console housing the pop-up TV. Dual occasional chairs and a reading lamp and table are adjacent. Just forward is the dining area with a table/chairs for eight. Outboard either side are storage cabinets with high gloss ebony wood and onyx countertops. A tray ceiling with accent lighting for dining. Forward of the dining table is more storage under counter wine cooler and bar area. The decorator interior décor was completely transformed in a major 2018/2019 refit. All the interior woods were de-glazed, sanded and stained a dark cranberry color. All of the interior wall coverings, overhead ceilings are done by Whisper Wall. All lighting is LED by Lumitec.
Going forward to starboard is the day head, service locker and stairwell to the raised pilothouse. A side slide door to the foredeck is opposite. The galley is “country style” with a full island, stone covered counter, rear refrigerator and cooking area, and stainless steel sink to port. Forward of the island is a dual seat bar top dining area and a full-sized, raised U-shaped dinette for six. Entertainment and storage are forward. The galley has ample lighting and large windows for viewing. Forward and down a curved stairwell is the VIP stateroom.
The VIP has a centerline, forward queen-sized berth with cloth covered headboard. Back lit Soji screens provide ambiance. Drawer storage and hanging lockers. The VIP head has a bathtub outboard, single sink vanity with drawer storage.
The master and guest staterooms are accessed from the port side hallway in main salon. The hallway has the main side door entrance to owner foyer. Wall art and hanging coat locker are just before the curved lower stairwell. Aft of the landing are the two guest staterooms. The port has a queen berth, locker and drawer storage, entertainment center and nightstands. Soji screens with back lighting for ambiance. Full head with single sink vanity and enclosed stall shower.
The starboard side guest stateroom has single berths locker and drawer storage, entertainment center and nightstands. Soji screens with back lighting for ambiance. Full head with single sink vanity and enclosed stall shower.
Forward is the master stateroom. Double door entry and centerline king berth with fabric headboards and wall sconces. Over 20 Storage drawers out board either side and two cedar lined hanging lockers. Granite countertops and back lit Soji screens. Wall mounted entertainment center. The his/her head has access from either side. Both sides have sink, mirrored vanity, granite countertops and heads. The shower has a rain head, hand wand and semi-circle bench seat.
The raised pilothouse has centerline helm and large carbon fiber control console and navigation screens and instruments. A raised L-shaped sofa allows guest comfort and seeing without disturbing the helmsman. The flybridge stairwell with slide door leads to the bridge.
There is a centerline helm console with custom Release Marine helm seat. There is a companion Release helm seat to starboard of the entry door. Aft to port is the granite topped L-shaped bridge bar and console with refrigeration, ice maker, stainless steel sink, storage locker and three button bar stools. On aft end of this console is an insulated and covered bin for chipped ice. Opposite to starboard is the main seating, curved L-shaped with custom built, curved teak dining table. Aft of the seating area is a round hot tub for six. The entire helm area is covered by a custom-built fiberglass hardtop by Pipewelders. There is recessed LED lighting, music speakers and a fold-down TV forward. Two polished stainless support columns are forward. Synthetic teak decks throughout.
The boat deck has a 2500 lb. davit on port. There is an 18’ Novurania that sits athwartships aft. The lower deck stairwell is to starboard and has a weather/safety hinged door. In lieu of the tender there are lounge chairs and two large, polished aluminum collapsible umbrellas for shade.
The bow foredeck is accessed from either the port or starboard slide side doors. There are two anchor windlass port and starboard with 500’ chain each in the bow anchor locker. The bosun’s locker is in the forward bustle and houses miscellaneous supplies, boarding ladder and bow power connections.
The entire vessel had a thorough and intensive refit at the venerable Rolly Marine facility in Ft. Lauderdale. This included full paint, mechanical and electrical upgrades, new generators, new A/V and Nav. The interior refit removal of cabinets, complete wood refinishing, all new flooring and all countertops with stone, new wall coverings, new overheads, new lighting throughout. With less than 1000 hours of use since, ODYSSEY is maintained and continually serviced by full time crew of four.
