Introduced in 1980, the Westerly Fulmar was the second design by Ed Dubois for Westerly. It was originally intended as a replacement for the Laurent Giles 31-footers (Westerly Longbow, Berwick, Renown and Pentland) but, finding her to be a much higher performing boat they became popular for match racing and race training. The main production run of the standard Fulmar 32 ended in 1992 with over 400 built. Despite the higher performance, the Westerly Fulmar has been proven to be a very successful pure cruiser. Their use also as sailing school and charter boats is a testament to their combination of easy handling and robust construction. Consequently many regard the Fulmar as possibly the best boat Westerly ever built.

Purchased by her current owner in 1995 “Teise” has been lovingly maintained and used as a family cruiser for the past 24 years.
