Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to six berths in two cabins. In the forecabin, V berth with infill and stowage under. Opening hatch to foredeck. Hanging locker. Separate heads to port with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. Hanging locker opposite. In saloon, dinette to port with galley and settee berth opposite. Vanessa Flavel two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Sink with hot and cold pressurised water system. 30 gallon freshwater capacity. Fixed saloon table. Two quarter berths port and starboard. Thermo 2500 diesel fired hot air central heating.

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway, Volvo MD11C twin cylinder 23hp diesel engine. Electric start. Seawater cooled. Shaft drive to three bladed propeller. Single lever control. 20 gallon fuel capacity giving approximately 250 mile range at 5 knots cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 6 knots.

Construction

Built in 1978 by Westerly Marine Construction to a design by Laurent Giles. White GRP hull with style stripes. White GRP superstructure with painted non-slip to deck. Teak rubbing strakes. Twin keels. Skeg hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self draining cockpit. The boat has been completely refurbished this year and work includes the following: mast resprayed; new running rigging; hull below the waterline epoxied and antifouled; decks repainted; engine fully serviced; seacocks serviced; gas system uprated and tested; new headlinings throughout; new anchor and chain; new cockpit spray dodgers; new sprayhood.
