A charming nineteen thirties cruiser
Lysbeth is a charming traditional mahogany on oak Thames built cruiser. Her current owners have owned her for 17 years and she has been their only boat. They have enjoyed cruising and entertaining on her using every inch of her roomy cockpit and cabin. The forward cabin comprises a beamy double berth with the traditional loo and handbasin on the starboard side opposite the full galley with oven, sink and burners. The fridge is in the cabin/dining area. There may be a reasonably priced berth available in Caversham as the owners are not intending to purchase another boat.
Lysbeth has been regularly maintained in her current ownership and should serve her new owners well. We don’t anticipate any serious problems with a pre purchase survey. Dennetts have inspected and maintained the boat more or less on a bi annual basis and she will be ready to celebrate her centenary in twenty years time. The owners tell me that she receives praise and admiration wherever she goes. She is certainly an octogenarian with style and attitude !
