APHRODITE A was built to be an autonomous, extended-cruising yacht. She is able to carry guests for three months without the need to visit a port or bunker station thanks to her 4500-mile range; massive, fully equipped engine room; and walk-in refrigerator and freezer. APHRODITE A is an extraordinary expedition yacht, perfectly suited to circumnavigate the globe.

The pilothouse/deck salon is low enough to provide good visibility from the twin helms and the carbon rig with in-boom mainsail furling and captive winches make sailing a breeze. Two recessed deck cranes easily deploy the tenders and other toys. The Euro-style transom has a large platform that anchors the sport-fishing chair and is the “beach” for other water activities. The transom door opens to a stand-up lazarette. Inside is an impressive station for making fishing flies and preserving fresh-caught fish; the dive compressor and sports equipment also are stored here. The cockpit dining tables convert to cocktail tables or lounging day beds. This versatility is also apparent in the retractable cockpit Bimini, which provides shade or sun for perfect alfresco living.

Special Features

Extended autonomous cruising is the basic concept of Aphrodite A.  Three months onboard without the need to call at a port or bunker station make her the ideal circumnavigator.  The yacht is divided into 5 watertight compartments, thus guaranteeing maximum safety.  The interior of highly polished cherry wood, white ceilings and maple floors give the yacht a luxurious elegance.  Below the waterline in the bow there are two forward facing cameras, allowing guests to watch and film dolphins riding the bow pressure wave from the comfort of the television room.  Each spacious guest cabin has an intercom, wall safe, minibar and flat screen TV/DVD.
