DESCRIPTION

This Van De Stat Legend 29 is a well built and traditionally laid out boat. The perfect boat for some double handed cruising and club racing. For her age, she has been well looked after but she is now in need of new owner with some fresh passion and time. We are looking for a quick sale for the boat.

Accommodation

4 berths in 2 cabins with 1 head. Forepeak with double vee berth, Jabsco marine toilet (2005) to starboard with hand basin to port.
Saloon consisting of two settee berths either side. The saloon table can be moved to a central point or taken into the cockpit to be used. The saloon has 5’10” headroom. A considerable amount of refurbishment has been completed including new teak faced ply and teak trim below decks and re-upholstered over the past few years. Blue upholstery throughout with carpet mats in saloon.
The chart table is to starboard with good space and a range of instruments. The galley has small sink and two burner hob with grill and oven.

Mechanical Systems

Located under the companionway steps, Yanmar 2GMhp 2 cylinder diesel engine approx 500 hours. Sea water cooled. Single lever controls with electric start, with emergency hand starting capacity. Shaft drive to a fixed propellor. Spare folding propellor onboard. Engine serviced every winter. Approximately 600 hours.

Electrical Systems

Two 85AH 12v domestic batteries (2007). One 85AH 12v engine start battery (2017). Charging from alternator and trickle charging solar panels. 240v shorepower system. New instrument panels 2007.

Sails & Spars

Masthead Bermudan sloop. Deck stepped aluminium silver anodised Z Spars mast (2000) and Z Spars boom (2008) with slab reefing mainsail and Rotostay RO6 furling headsail. Masthead wind direction indicatorStainless steel standing rigging (2000) and Braid on Braid running rigging replaed as and when needed. All halyards led aft to two banks of five clutches 1 x Spinnaker pole. 2 x Antal 40 two speed self-tailing sheet winches, 2 x Lewmar 8 halyard winches, 2 x Gibb 28 two speed winches.

Construction

This Van De Stat Legend 29 hull, deck and superstructure moulded in GRP with plywood frame. GRP deck with painted and moulded non slip areas. Iron Fin keel and skeg hung rudder with tiller steering. The hull was epoxied in 2000 and 2006.
