This vessel was SOLD on May 11. This 36' Union Polaris Cutter is a TRUE BEAUTY! Recent Survey - October 2020 - valued this boat at $40k! She is a blue water cruiser which will provide LOTS of memorable days on the water for you and your family or friends. This is one of those boats with true character which everyone should get the opportunity to sail aboard in their lives! As is evident from the photos and videos, this solid, classic vessel has been well-loved, well maintained and is in good condition for her age and usage. Based on a Hans Christian design by Robert H. Perry, this vessel was built in Taiwan with custom master craftsmanship throughout. The most recent in-water survey determined her value at $40k in October 2020. Prior to that a haul-out and professional inspection was carried out in 2017. At that time, a complete bottom job was carried out and new cutlass bearings installed. Since then the bottom has been professionally cleaned and checked every two months. Ongoing preventative maintenance (oil change, new belt, etc.) was recently completed. In 2012, a new Yanmar 50HP diesel was installed which still has very low hours. There is no documentation on the engine replacement. Please see the video of the engine starting and running. It's shiny and purrs! There is no hour meter hooked up to the newer engine but the hours are 360. She can comfortably sleep seven people in a private v-berth cabin, jumbo double quarter berth, dinette conversion and single salon bunk. She will make a wonderful liveaboard for a couple or single person but is probably not suitable for a family. The unique enclosed head room has a new Jabsco marine toilet, 11-gallon hot water heater for the shower, sink and mirror. The door configuration allows for the shower room to be separated from the salon and cabin, extending into the gangway and doubling in size. Recent Upgrades Include: -Fuel & tank cleaned/polished in 2019 -Brand new head installed with new hoses -New batteries and ProMariner battery tender/charger All teak below deck is in very nice condition. The teak above deck is also beautiful but could benefit from some attention. Both teak and fiberglass parts of the deck appear to be solid with no soft spots. She was sailed from Kauai to Oahu in 2017 and was sailed regularly around the windward side of Oahu until the end of 2020 when her owner got deployed. I have had the pleasure of being aboard her underway and she is a very solid sailer for Hawaiian waters yet quite swift, even in light winds. The sails are in average condition. The sail covers appear to be in good to above average condition. This is a USCG registered vessel. She is currently moored at Rainbow Marina in Pearl Harbor. The slip is not directly transferable but other slips might be available upon application for active duty or retired military personnel.
