DESCRIPTION

Remarks :
Carvel constructed wooden motor sailor with iroko planks on oak frames. Heavy displacement craft with ballast keel and transom/keel mounted rudder. Built in 1966 by Porter & Haylett of Wroxham to a J Francis "Jack" Jones design. Over the years she has seen many improvements including new engine, paint jobs, upholstery and electronic navigation equipment.
The boat is spacious below decks and benefits from two clearly defined cabins separated by the large wheelhouse. The aft "owners" cabin offers privacy and the forward cabin/saloon can be used by guests where they will be very comfortable.
Powered by a 66hp Thornycroft diesel she will happily sit at 6-7 knots under engine and her 88 gallon capacity offers good range between fill ups. Autopilot, Raymarine C80 chartplotter, wind speed direction, Navtex and VHF form part of a comprehensive navigation package. Ketch rigged yacht with gaff rigged main, mizzen staysail and two hank on fore sails.
The yacht is well equipped and even offers heating, life-raft, Yam inflatable dinghy and Yamaha outboard.
The boat is in need of a younger owner with the appropriate energy and skills to bring this boat back to her formal glory. Although far from pristine condition she is by no means a wreck and this is reflected in the low asking price.
