This is a beautiful sea going 40-foot sloop rigged cutter, meaning that there is a stay-sail on the bow. She is fully equipped, from dishes in the galley to tools in the tool locker. She has fresh bottom paint, recent Main and Genoa sails, recent dinghy and Yamaha outboard motor, and 2018 emergency raft. The 50 hp Volvo diesel engine was rebuilt in 2018. She has solar cells and a portable Honda generator. A new chart plotter was just installed and she has send/receive transponder to identify Fortuna to other boats.
She was custom built by a retired British Navy Commander, and sold to the current owners after a
serious illness. She sailed from England to the US, through Panama Canal and on to the South Pacific.
Fortuna has been meticulously maintained. She now sits in Grenada and is Ready to Sail.

Owner's comments
Fortuna of Tamar has sailed from England, to the USA, down to Panama and through the Canal, eventually arriving in Australia. We bought Fortuna in Thailand, sailed to Malaysia, through Indonesia back to Thailand and on to South Africa. After repairs and bottom paint in SA, she ventured north along the African coast, turning west to Brazil, and then north to the Grenadines and Grenada.
Fortuna is a capable blue water boat, able to sail with two crew, even though she comfortable sleeps 4 with salon able to handle two more.
Registration
Fortuna of Tamar has a United States Delaware registration and there are no known outstanding encumbrances.
Construction
Built in 1997 by Trident Marine in the UK the hull is a GRP moulded with encapsulated lead ballast keel. Last anti-fouled in 2018
