DESCRIPTION

Built in New Zealand in 1954 to a Colin Archer type design. Totally rebuilt by the present owner in 2009 and shipped back to the UK, after which she was used very little. New deck, interior, rig, engine and systems. 4 berths including a large double forward. Full standing headroom. Now in need of a cosmetic refit, otherwise solid and sound. A superb sea boat with her design heritage, she is no doubt an easily handled blue water cruising boat. 2012 survey.

Wooden Ships Comments

Built in Dunedin, New Zealand in 1954 to a Colin Archer type design. Much of her early history is unknown but she was found by the present owner in poor condition and had a major rebuild in 2009 in New Zealand. Shortly after this she was shipped back to the UK where unfortunately, due to health reasons, she has been used very little.

During the rebuild it was found the hull was in remarkably good shape but she needed a new deck, new interior and a new rig on the original mast. The superstructure was altered from the original dog house arrangement to a conventional coachroof with a healthy radius on the roof making her look much sweeter while still keeping decent headroom below decks.

She is currently in need of a cosmetic refit but the hull and decks are sound and with a small amount of work she could be made ready for sea.

2012 survey available. Fully equipped with a good inventory of modern equipment, she just needs someone with the time to get her smartened up and back in the water and benefit from the huge amount of work done during the rebuild.
