With a good strong wind, this cat will fly across the lake. This TomCat 6.2 has undergone a year-long restoration in a climate-controlled garage. Details of the restoration are as follows: Fiberglass pontoons and hull have been refinished with Penetrol. Pontoons, center board, and rudders have been repainted with blue marine anti-fouling paint. Pontoons have new pin-striping (I did not replace the pin-striping on the deck as the pontoons cover most of its length). All running rigging (halyards, sheets), and all special purpose lines, have been replaced. The jib and trampoline are brand new. Interior side panels have been replaced with Sunbrella material. The deck has been fitted with 2 new back-to-back fold-down lounge seats. The upholstered rear hatch covers are brand new. The Yamaha 9.9 outboard engine has been refurbished with fresh engine and gear oil, new impeller, and new thermostat. The battery, fuel tank, and fuel line are brand new. The following fixtures are also brand new: stern light, running lights, LED anchor light, pontoon inspection ports, storage compartment vents, 100+ stainless-steel deck snaps, and nylon cleats. Sound system speakers have been replaced with new, marine grade speakers. The mast and boom have been repainted with multiple coats of acrylic paint. Comes equipped with a remote-controlled stereo, Raymarine Bidata with 2 through-hull transducers, compass, anchor, bumper, two Bimini tops, snap-in deck carpets, and weather proof panels that are capable of enclosing the entire deck. Includes extra pin-striping Changes I have made include the conversion of the controls that raise and lower the rudders to a manual system (the original cable-controlled system broke within a month). Elimination of the porta potty. Extension (much needed) of the stainless-steel lever that raises and lowers the center board. Sheathed the wiring from the mast to the deck with stainless steel braid. Galvanized Trailer New tires; all bunks rebuilt using GatorBack synthetic bunk covers; new rollers; completely rewired with new trailer harness and waterproof connections; new LED tail/brake lights, and new running lights.
