Santa Monica in her original form was a 1988 built Sunseeker Tomahawk 37, acknowledged by many as one of the best hulls ever built. This 37 has been carefully re-designed and developed and is now completely transformed into a modern, contemporary cruiser. The boat's original radar arch has been removed to create a new sleek, purposeful profile. The hull and topsides have been vinyl wrapped in gloss and matt graphite grey vinyl, with a carbon fibre texture for details such as the vent "blades". In the cockpit you will find a natural, high-endurance Flexiteak and new upholstery including custom-made helm and passenger seats. The dash area has been updated and minimalized with the old dials being replaced by modern multi-dials for all the major functions and a mini iPad loaded with Navionics has been mounted in the centre of the dash. The existing race controls have been retained to compliment the look and to suit the boat's performance and handling. Below deck, only the heads remain with the galley taken away and the cross members cut back as much as possible without adversely affecting the boat's structural integrity. The overall objective to maximise the volume of space and to streamline the surface areas, creating as light and airy feel as possible. Beneath the engine hatch, both engines have been removed and replaced with new fully re-commissioned engines. The fuel tank has been replaced and the whole engine bay re-painted. Leg and trim tabs have been fully refurbished and serviced. This boat is an absolute joy to drive and handles incredibly well. Once out of the harbour she's up on the plane almost immediately and underway she feels like an arrow, responding instantly to the slightest helm correction. She is absolutely unique.
