This sailing vessel is in truly immaculate condition and benefits - inter alia - from a January 2023 pre-sale survey that the surveyor describes as “pretty perfect” in conversation and in glowing terms in the report as well.

'Reprieve', a stylish Rob Humphreys designed cruising yacht (cruiser) has been throughly and fastidiously maintained above & beyond normal standards, and in many aspects has been upgraded.

For example: the original engine was replaced and upgraded in 2008 with a Yanmar 3JH 39HP diesel. This is driven through a Purbeck marine 20 x 14 propellor. The engine hours are 795. She has been serviced regularly by Cutler Marine of Emsworth (last time in Dec. 2022)..

Similarly standing rigging was replaced two years ago and running rigging is removed each winter before being laundered and stored awaiting the new season.

‘Reprieve’ is supported with a full dossier of all essential documentation and manuals. These have been viewed by the broker and were seen to be correct.

The Southerly 110 with her aft cockpit, plumb bow line and twin rudder configuration, combined with her sail plan (an optional taller faster rig was specified at build stage), makes her a fast, fun and exhilarating yacht to sail.

Whitlock direct steering, combined with the twin rudder arrangement gives instantly responsive steering, making helming this yacht a real pleasure. Even when the wind increases and gusts attempt to push her off course, the hull form and deep draft of the Swing Keel enables her to stand up to the wind and carry her canvas, whilst the twin rudders give exceptional directional stability and control.

The unique Swing Keel provides deep draft performance (deeper than most yachts), for powerful windward performance. The keel can be raised to just 2'4'' for shallow draft freedom, allowing you to sail in coastal areas and inland waters. As with all Southerlys, the yacht will also dry out and sit upright.

As you go onboard the Southerly 110's traditional quality of build shines through. Good all round views, a spacious saloon, open galley, raised chart table, forward cabin and a large aft cabin are particular features on this yacht.

YANMAR 3JH4E DIESEL ENGINE (UPGRADE)

'Reprieve', in 2010, was retro-fitted with a new engine as an upgrade.

'Reprieve' is now fitted with a Yanmar 3JH4E (rated at 39 HP and up from the previous 30 HP engine). This engine has completed 780 hours. Such diesel engine have a life expectancy of in excess of 8000 hours when maintained correctly.

The engine has been serviced regularly by Cutler Marine Engineers based at Emsworth Yacht Harbour. Cutler Marine are approved Yanmar specialists. The engine was fitted by Purbeck Marine of Poole.

The engine is controlled through a Yanmar B panel with water, temperature and oil pressure gauges. An exhaust alarm is also fitted.

The engine runs a shaft drive with 20 x 14 three-blade propellor.
