1974 Snapdragon 27
The Snapdragon 27 is a solidly built twin keel cruiser. This example is well fitted out with a cosy interior. Well maintained owned by the current owner for the last 19 years, a 2018 survey report is available on request.
Accommodation :
The accommodation offers up to six berths in two cabins. In the forward cabin, V berth with infill and stowage under. Full width heads compartment with marine toilet. In saloon, dinette to port, converting to double berth, with galley opposite. Plastimo 2500 two burner gas hob with grill and oven. Stainless steel sink with manually pumped water supply. Two quarter berths.

History and Construction:
Built by Thames Marine in 1974 to their own design. White painted GRP hull with white cove line. Teak rubbing strakes. Light blue painted GRP superstructure with non-slip to deck. Twin keels. Skeg hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self-draining cockpit.

Sails and Spars:

Masthead rigged Bermudian sloop. Anodised aluminium mast tabernacle mounted with boom. Stainless steel standing rigging 2019. Terylene running rigging, slab reefing with lazyjacks. Headsail furling system.

Mechanical  Systems:
Located under the companionway a Vetus two-cylinder 13hp diesel engine, fitted new in 2009. Electric start. directly cooled. Shaft drive to three bladed propeller. 42 litres fuel capacity in plastic tank. 4 knots cruising speed, maximum speed under power 5 knots. The engine was last serviced 2021 by the owner.
Electrical Systems:
1 x 12-volt domestic battery, 1 x 12-volt engine battery charging from the engine alternator, 240-volt shore power connection.
