'Tea & Oranges ' A superb 54' Narrowbeam Dutch Barge built by Sirius Boatyard.

This vessel boasts a mix of traditional and modern equipment, large sociable decks and accommodation space.

The interior is light and spacious with full standing headroom throughout. The exterior coach work consists of cream cabin sides, dark green up to the gunnels and a black hull.

Powered by a Barrus Shire 4-cylinder diesel engine.Central heating and hot water are supplied by a Eberspacher diesel fired system. 240V and 12V electrics on board. Full Cockpit canopy. Blacked in November 2016. Full Engine Service in 2018. Bow Thruster fitted for enhanced manoeuvrability.

General

‘Tea & Oranges’ is a Sirius built 54’ Narrowbeam Dutch Barge. Considered to be one of the best examples of this style of boat with classic lines from a builder with a reputation for building striking boats of this style. ‘Tea & Oranges’ was built in 2000, with a cruiser stern, canvas cockpit canopy or detachable wheelhouse to gain low bridge clearance if required. This vessel has recently undergone a full galley and dinette/saloon refurbishment by a professional boat fitter; boasting solid iroko wooden worktops, oak construction and modern black appliances.

Saloon / Dinnete

The Saloon is open planned with ample of space for free standing furniture. Corner TV unit with a built-in radio to starboard and opposite features a wardrobe with plenty of space to store all those boating essentials. A raised pullman’s style dinette that can comfortably seat 4 people around the dining table and will convert to an additional double berth when required. The floor and under gunnel cabin sides are laid with carpets to aid insulation. Solid wood bow doors lead onto the front deck which provides a pleasant seating area with a good view.

Galley

Newly fitted galley positioned to port and features a surface mounted black sink and mixer tap, a free-standing gas oven with grill and 4 hobs varying in sizes, a 12V fridge is located underneath the eye catching solid iroko kitchen worktops and two eye level storage cabinets. The galley offers ample of storage and plenty of worktop surfaces ideal for those who wish to show off their boating recipes!

Head / Bathroom

The bathroom is pleasantly roomy for a Narrowboat using all space available in an efficient and resourceful way. A ceramic hand basin is set in a vanity unit with a stainless steel hot and cold mixer tap and a mirrored storage cupboard above. An electric flush pump-out toilet system is opposite, and a separate shower is alongside the hand basin.

Master Cabin

A cosy masters cabin is located aft of the boat. An extendable double berth is positioned to port and features two brass reading spotlights with overhead shelving above, aft of the berth features an additional wardrobe. The control panel is also located here.

Cockpit

The cockpit of this Narrowboat provides an excellent area for entertaining your guests with a bench seat across the stern. Single helm steering position located to port which houses the engine instrumentation including the bow thruster controls, rev counter, fuel gauge, rudder angle gauge, navigation lights switch, tunnel light switch, horn switch, oil warning light, temperature warning light, battery voltage light, engine stop button and ignition.

Heating / Hot Water System

A diesel fired Eberspacher system runs radiators throughout the boat, providing plenty of heat on board perfect for cruising all year round. The calorifier is also connected to the engine circuit providing heat for hot water when running.

Electrics

The 240V system on board simply plugs in to the shoreline providing power to the brass sockets throughout the boat.
