Priced to sell, negotiable! This 1977 Silverton 34T trawler was the forerunner to the 1978 Mainship 34 Diesel Cruiser manufactured between 1978 and 1982. The Luhrs Marine Group owned Silverton and Mainship. Silverton manufactured this vessel in 1977 and Mainship took it over and has manufactured it since that time. If you compare this 1977 Silverton version to the Mainship 34 Diesel Cruiser they are exactly the same. This vessel often called the Mainship 34 Trawler is one of the most popular small cruisers ever built. She is built on a solid fiberglass semi-displacement hull with a deep forefoot, slightly rounded bilges, and a full length keel. The great appeal of the 34 - aside from an affordable price - had much to do with her salty, trawler style profile and her superb fuel economy at better than trawler speeds. Below deck, she has a practical single-stateroom layout is well suited to the needs of a cruising couple. She has an upper and lower helm, the galley includes all the necessary food-prep necessities and she has a separate shower included in the head. Topside, there is a captain's chair and plenty of bench seating, room for guests and two pedestal chairs mounted at the back of the bridge. The bridge extension shades the aft cockpit area that has a full camper enclosure. The original Perkins 6 cylinder diesel engine has been replaced with a new Cummins 250 hp diesel engine and new transmission. This vessel is in great shape for her age and shows pride of ownership.
A clean recent survey is available, completed in May 2018. This is a one of a kind vessel and a must see for those who want an economically priced 34' trawler.
