Mechanical

Vessel is powered by twin Volvo Penta D3-160 inboard diesels. These economical yet powerful units have been regularly maintained and undergo an annual service. Engines have completed approximately 725 hours as of 07/04/2022. The engines are situated beneath the saloon floor allowing full access for servicing. The seacocks can be accessed from the cockpit. 
Reduction gearboxes driving stainless steel shaft and 4-bladed bronze propellers. Both shafts were removed, cutlass bearings replaced, new Radice shaft seals installed in 2021. Hydraulic wheel steering with twin bronze rudders. Rudders removed, shafts cleaned and refitted in 2021.

Bank of 3x12V batteries fitted with isolators. These provide engine start and domestic power. These are recharged via the engine alternator or the NEW Sterling all in one smart charger replaced in 2021. Shore power including cable. Internal 240V and 12V sockets. 12/240V switch panel at helm with individual switches. These are illuminated when in use.

Accommodation

This is an ideal boat for both cruising with the family or fishing with friends. Whatever your desire the Rodman 870HT has a lot of great features that will please everyone. The saloon is entered from the cockpit via a lockable sliding door. There is a privacy curtain to prevent degradation and limit light when sleeping in the saloon. Headroom is great throughout and the interior is carpeted for comfort.
To starboard there is a Vis-a-Vis seating area with dinette table. The table can swivel and be extended by lifting the fold down leave. This will also drop down and make an occasional berth which will give a large adult plenty room or a double berth for two children.
Opposite is the helm position with upholstered comfortable seat, angled dash with engine instrumentation and twin lever engine controls.
2-Steps down and you have the galley to starboard and the heads compartment to port.
The galley has excellent storage along with a stainless steel sink, pressurised hot and cold fresh water and a front loading 12/240V fridge with freezer compartment. There is  Origo single burner spirit hob should you wish to rustle something up. 240V 3-pin sockets at galley for use when in port.
Within the heads compartment there is a Jabsco, electric flush marine toilet with holding tank, a moulded sink unit with access to plumbing, pull out shower head and shower-sump pump out.
In the bow is the spacious forward cabin with off-set double berth to port, dressing seat to starboard and large hanging wardrobe. The mattresses are n attractive nautical stripe. There is an opening roof hatch fitted with both black out and fly screen. The cabin has 12V reading lights.
The interior wood and cabinets are varnished and there is a great amount of storage making extended cruising a reality. The boat is kept warm and dry thanks to Eberspacher diesel fired heating. 240/12V sockets throughout.

Construction

GRP Constructed Sports Fishing Cruiser with a semi displacement hull built by Rodman boats in 2008. Wide beam and mid mounted engines offers excellent stability when on the drift. Semi displacement hull profile gives excellent handling at both low and high speeds. Underwater area antifouled, anodes changed and topsides polished in 2021. 
Smart white and dark blue topsides in high gloss gel coat. Moulded "dolphin Nose" bow moulding with inbuilt anchor roller. This minimises damage to the boow when retrieving the anchor. Moulded bathing platform with simulated teak, stainless steel bathing platform and opening transom door.

Large self draining cockpit with inbuilt locker storage. Cockpit sole also covered in smart simulated teak panels. High gunwales with added safety from the stainless steel stern rails. Flip up GRP seating port and starboard. These have clip on cushions. Easy access forward port and starboard of wheelhouse via the low walkways. Handily placed stainless steel grab rails mounted on coachroof and large diameter stainless steel bow rails enhance security. Electric windlass with foot controls. Large capacity self draining anchor locker with lid.

White GRP wheelhouse with inbuilt radar and antenna arch. Sliding perspex side windows and large curved single piece glass windscreen offers excellent all round visibility. Dual pantograph windscreen wipers with windscreen wash. Large foredeck with removeable sunbathing cushions. Windscreen and side windows have canvas exterior curtains to minimise UV degradation to the interior.
