One of the best Riva 38’s we have ever seen. Very original, Twin Cummins V8 diesel. Wide beam makes her a stable platform and gives the cockpit a massive open area. Flexible cabin means she is perfect for day use or cruising for 4 adults. Quality of Riva is there and will always be there. A 2011 survey report is available on request. A number of recent upgrades. Accommodation

The Riva 38 Bravo Special, offers one double berth in the fore cabin and two single berths in the saloon, this is separated by a curtain from the saloon. Separate heads and shower to port with vanity basin. The salon feels spacious and open, the seating either side is very comfortable and has plenty of storage below and behind. With the rear cushions removed the seats become good sized single berths. Riva stainless steel portlights, to let plenty light into the cabin. The removable Riva saloon table can sit six people in comfort. Worktop with fridge below, 2-burner electric or alcohol hob. Single bowl stainless sink. Overhead storage for crockery, glasses, etc. Water heated via calorifier. Cabin heating via reverse cycle A/C.

Recent upgrades include in 2019 a new 5KW Eberspacher diesel cabin heating systems, Smart 24 inch TV-DVD player, new carpet in the saloon, new V-Berth upholstery in 2020 and teak effect carpet in the cockpit in 2020.

Mechanical Systems

The Riva is powered by twin 1988 8-cylinder Cummins VT555 diesel engines producing 320hp each very low hours of 990 as of August 2020 (Full-service history), shaft drive to 3 bladed bronze propellers. Twin lever control. Through tunnel 4KW bowthruster. Fuel capacity of 400 litres in two stainless steel tanks. Cruising speed approximately 25knots with a maximum speed of approximately 35knots. Last out of water service July 2020 Engines last serviced 12th August 2020.

Electrical Systems

4 x 12-volt batteries charging from the engine alternators and battery charger, 240-volt shore power supply with 240-volt ring main and immersion heater.

Hull: GRP deep V but with flatter sections aft. Hand laid glass fibre construction off white finish. Deck: GRP moulded non-slip surfaces on side decks. Superstructure: GRP, stainless steel screen frame. Bathing Platform: teak laid grating Interior Colours: Blue/white with grey upholstery. Furniture finished in natural light teak; helm console finished with blue GRP moulding. Cockpit upholstery cream with blue trim. Helm seats cream with grey trim.
