History from the Owner

"Angel Eyes" was built by the very talented trades people of Southern Ontario. She was rigged by the crew at South Shore Yachts - the same people that would have rigged Saga Yachts and others.

Her custom upholstery, mattresses, and all canvas work was performed by Peterson's Upholstery. This outstanding company would have performed the same work on million dollar Neptunus Yachts and many more.

You can't look at "Angel Eyes" without admiring her extensive stainless steel craftsmanship. Klacko Marine Fabrication performs their artistry on top of the line Bruckmann Yachts and many, many more. From her curvaceous pulpit to her often admired bimini/radar arch and everything in between, "Angel Eyes" is a Klacko show piece.

The same gentlemen that worked decades at C&C, Hinterholer, and Saga Yachts performed all of the electrical work on "Angel Eyes" including her panel, chargers, batteries, electric winch, and windlasses.

This list of talent goes on but suffice to say.........

"'Angel Eyes' was a professional build with the documentation to prove it."

After commissioning, she first saw water in September of 2011 on the Great Lakes. In October of that year, she was winter-stored on the hard until Spring of 2012 when she was relaunched to spend the summer in the Thousand Island/Kingston area of Lake Ontario.

From her very first anchorage to every fuel dock she visits, people come to admire and ask questions.

The fall of 2012 she was again winter stored on the hard until Spring of 2013.

July 1st of 2013 her journey began. Dock lines were tossed and from St. Catharines Ontario, "Angel Eyes" heads out the St. Lawrence River to Cape Breton Island. She traverses Bras d'Or Lake and sails to Lunenburg NS on her way to Maine, the Newport Boat Show, followed by the Annapolis Boat Show, before heading south on the ICW.

Fall of 2013 into Spring of 2014, "Angel Eyes" and crew had a great time in the Bahamas.

Summer of 2014 was spent in the Chesapeake - including Capital Yacht Club for the 4th of July, and when Fall came, it was back to the Bahamas waiting to team up with friends and head to Cuba.

Spring of 2015 sees "Angel Eyes" parting with friends in Le a Vache, Haiti and heading to Jamaica only to fall in love with Port Antonio and stay for many months.

Late fall of 2015, together with two companion boats, the south shore of Cuba calls. A slow pace through the islands on the way to Cienfuegos.

Parting once again with friends puts "Angel Eyes" and crew in Isla Mujeres, Mexico for Christmas. Another number of fun months.

Once the northers settled down, it was off to Belize. Fishing and snorkeling for hours every day. Lighthouse Reef was magic.

April/May of 2016 and it's decision time. Where to go for the up coming hurricane season? Rio Dulce Guatemala is as safe as it gets, so off we go. Affordable at a beautiful marina. We have it all here so, like so many others, we stayed for way too long........... 4 years............ with no regrets.

"Angel Eyes" will be sailed back to Florida by the end of November 2021.
