Regulator's 26 Express provides fishing fun for the entire family. Her fishing amenities rival those of a big sportfisherman while her cabin competes with expensive family cruisers. The cockpit on Regulator's 26 Express is designed for serious offshore fishing. There's a large in-deck 50-gallon recirculating baitwell, two transom bait boxes, under-seat coolers and a 7-foot insulated locking fishbox with storage for up to six rods. Deck-mounted rod holders and a raw water washdown system are standard. The cabin on a 26 features 6-foot headroom, shore power and two full-size berths. Her galley features a sink with running water, a microwave oven, an ice box, and space for an optional refrigerator. A cavernous storage area below the starboard berth allows you to stow all of your important gear and an easily accessible forward locker stores your anchor line. The galley includes everything one would expect including the kitchen sink. For privacy, there's a large enclosed fiberglass head featuring a stainless steel sink, shower and screened window. Regulator uses the finest components available, such as a custom anodized aluminum windshield with grab rails. The 26 is available with a custom Armstrong bracket and factory-rigged twin, counter-rotating Yamaha outboards. REGULATOR BOATS: The waters off North Carolina, among the most dangerous and unpredictable in the world, have been the proving ground for Regulator boats since they entered the market in 1990. Regulators are manufactured by master craftsmen, designed from the inside out to handle the roughest conditions. Every Regulator is trailerable. Designed by Naval Architect Lou Codega, one of the country's most experienced deep-V designers, Regulator's hulls feature wide reverse chines for stability as well as a sharp entry V and sharp transom V, slicing through even the roughest seas. Construction is as important as design so Regulator uses only the finest components including: Trevira Stoprint for a smoother exterior finish, chop-strand for stiffness, Pro-Balsa coring which absorbs more resin and does not warp like plywood, and Klegecell as a waterproof replacement for plywood in the transom. Regulator uses a full-fiberglass stringer system for longitudinal and lateral integrity and "finished" fishboxes and storage areas. 100 percent fiberglass hulls are left to cure in their molds for five to seven-days before pulling, ensuring shape and form. Regulator uses Cook Composites ISO-NPG gelcoat (available in almost any color) and isophthalic resin for a strong, superior finish.
