The vessel will suit anyone wanting space and comfort - at the same time with significant potential for long distance cruising. The refit project is approx. 80% completed (as at early September). Shortly - with all Main Services completed and ready to be adopted as a 'liveaboard' - with generous accommodation. The Main Saloon is vast with panoramic views, a spacious after-deck area and a Fly-deck with un-interrupted views - wherever you may 'moor-up'. This craft offers a chance to acquire a vessel of substantial construction, with plenty of charm including the opportunity to personalise the 'finishing processes'. Think of her as a 'flat afloat' in either Brighton or the Cote d' Azure!

Accommodation
From Forward (as at Early September
INTERNALLY - a GUEST DOUBLE CABIN (centrally positioned)) with walk-around double berth and en-suite facilities. This cabin is currently being completed. A second GUEST CABIN (Port side) with double berth - also currently incomplete. An open area / lower saloon to Starboard leads to the Main Saloon. A central corridor also leads to the MASTER CABIN - complete with a central 'king size' double berth, an ensuite heads/shower wet-room and a bath. Some finishing work is required to provide hanging space and vanity requirements, etc.
MAIN SALOON - this is a large open area extending to the after deck, with lounge seating each side and a GALLEY area on the Starboard side with all cooking facilities. A 'HEADS COMPARTMENT' is located to Port. Patio-style doors allow additional natural lighting throughout this 'living area'. A further companion-way leads to the BRIDGE providing a commanding view from the Helm Console - offset to Starboard. A seating area is to Port, together with ample storage areas for installed electronic equipment, etc. Throughout this craft, there are open areas which can be used for either additional seating or lockering facilities.
EXTERNALLY the vessel has curved stair-ways to both sides of the principle structure - within the transom to the after deck - providing access to the fly-deck area. Additionally, an excellent 'walk-thru' passage-way offers access to the fore-deck area on each side of the main structure. An integral ladder provides access to a stern-platform.
COMPLETION / CONSTRUCTION:
It is apparent this vessel has been a long-term project. However, the majority of the infrastructure is now completed, with continuing work to the cabin accommodation. An early contact -through the Broker - can provide an opportunity to personalize areas, which require completion. The current owners are continuing with 'on-going work'. Keeping an eye on changes as this project develops - this substantial vessel is worthy of scrutiny! Contact the Broker for an 'update' and further detail of this exciting project.
Deck
The following 'deck equipment' is installed/included:
- Hydraulic Fore-deck Windlass
- Appropriate sized Anchor & Chain
- Mooring Warps & Fenders
Usual deck equipment (unspecified)..........
Owner Comments
With a back-ground of management of similar projects, the current ownership has seen the current 'de-commissioning' as an opportunity to accommodate a number of persons - with suitable qualifications - to undertake the 'fit-out' programme. The result is of a 're-commissioning' in the fore-seeable future. It is understood the previous activity of the vessel was to provide similar use in the provison of stowage areas for merchant goods, as well as small numbers of 'paid passengers'. In recent months - and change of ownership - it has been decided to undertake a 're-fit' programme. Such a programme is not only to provide improved accommodation, but also a wider range of activity. The latter interest is in 'passage-making' around the coast-line of Great Britian and Northern Ireland.
Broker Comments
'The TRAFALGAR 40 Motor Cruiser (at 21mtrs) over-all length offers considerable accommodation space together with a back-ground of 'armed forces' specification. The 'Head-lined' details above provide some indicaiton of both the anticipation of a suitable vessel for 'passage-making' in suitable open seas areas as well as the understand of many to look for an opportunity to enjoy circum-navigate the British Isles as well as reach the Scandinavian coast-line. The vessel is currently being 'fitted-out' to meet the potential of providing comfort as well as a 'personal space' - unlike some of the larger, more populated 'holiday makers'. Contact with 'Simon Thomas Yacht Sales' - part of Lochin Marine International Ltd - is welcomed and is possible to provide direct link with the 'founder' of this unique opportunity.
