DESCRIPTION

IF A SERIOUS AND SOLID BLUEWATER BOAT IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, LOOK NO FURTHER! "ANGELE" IS A NO NONSENSE CRUISING BOAT, BUILT TO LAST. WITH BRAND NEW STANDING RIGGING, SHE IS READY FOR HER NEW OWNERS. (BUILT TO LLOYD'S OF LONDON SPECS.)

PREVIOUSLY MAHINA TIARE!!

Out of all of the cruising boats on the planet, HR42E's stand tall and proud, with millions of miles covered, more to go, and a reputation of doing it with ease! ANGELE is no exception! Her graceful lines at the dock convert into outstanding performance on the water, and is one of the reasons the HR42E is such a well loved and respected cruising machine! She has seen her share of blue water, and is ready for more under the loving care of new owners. All of the standing rigging was replaced mid 2019, and a full rig inspection by one of the PNW's best riggers was performed. These are very well built boats, and have a reputation of being a tough cruiser, easily capable of circumnavigations.

For all of you ketch lovers out there, you know the wonderful sail configurations you have with a ketch, and for those of you who don't please give me a call and we can discuss. There is a good sail inventory, and all sails are in great shape.

The HR42E and a wonderful amount of working deck space, so that no matter if reefing or lounging, there is enough room for everyone onboard to do what they need to. The large cockpit with hard dodger makes for great place to congregate for the 5 o'clock happy hour whilst sailing through whichever ocean you choose to be in. The hard dodger has a center opening window, with a wiper, which is very nice to be able to take shelter behind whilst underway in wet conditions. The cockpit seating area is covered by the legendary Bottomsiders cushions, to make your lounging experience that much more comfortable. A large Edson wheel makes helming from either side of the cockpit easy, and Edson binnacle with plenty of real estate for additional electronics. The mainsheet is on the aft cockpit combing, easy for helmsman to control. Two large Lewmar 48's are the primary winches in the cockpit. All B&G instruments are forward in the cockpit, above the companionway, as well as engine panel/gauges, Garmin chartplotter, VHF remote mic, systems monitor panel for alarms like bilge, oil pressure, water flow for engine cooling, and fire. The Fusion stereo remote control panel is also located here in the front of the cockpit to be able to blast Jimmy Buffet out there!

Additional deck gear includes horseshoe life ring, a Lifesling, stainless swim ladder, windvane self steering, epirb, life raft (needs to be re certified), Lewmar ocean hatches, storage box near main mast base, spinnaker pole, dorade vents, 12v windlass, CQR anchor, and much much more.

Heading into the salon, you immediately notice the excellent craftmanship, and gorgeous mahogany, that is synonymous with Hallberg-Rassy vessels. The good use of space, is one of the features that makes the HR42E's a popular cruising choice. Nav station is to port, the seating and table forward, and galley to starboard. Port (7ft) and starboard (6ft8in) seating both convert to berths for additional crew. Storage was well thought out on these boats, and there is no shortage of it. Interior joinery is in excellent condition, and shows well. The good sized nav station allows for easy access to radar, SSB, VHF, and your paper charts to plot your course on.

Heading aft, you have the master stateroom with large queen berth, and en suite head and shower. The master has good light from the overhead deck hatch, and two large opening portlights. There is a good amount of storage in both the master stateroom and it's en suite head. Heading forward to the salon, you have the main engine space access to your right/stbd side. There is good access to everything, from this point.

Forward from the salon is the spacious, en suite, well lit v-berth, once again with large amounts of storage. The head and shower will make any guests stay a pleasant one with the amount of room they would have to spread out in. The head also has a good size stall shower for an easier showering experience while underway.

All in all, ANGELE is an excellently thought out, laid out, and well kept cruising machine. She is definitely worth a look, and is an excellent value given her condition and brand new standing rigging in 2019.

Between 1980 and 1991, 225 of these Olle Enderlein-designed Hallberg-Rassy 42s were built. John Neal and Amanda Swan-Neal of Mahina Tiare Expeditions went around Cape Horn and to Antarctica on this very HR42E.

Call the listing broker today, so you can make ANGELE a part of your family, and your cruising dreams!
