DESCRIPTION

The Hallberg-Rassy 40 is a Germán Frers designed, blue water sailing cruiser of highest quality from the world-famous Swedish boatbuilder.  EOWYN is equipped for Ocean passages having circumnavigated in the World ARC 2010/11.  She has SSB, Radar, AIS, Watermaker and much more.  Now located in Grenada, W.I. please contact the office on +to make arrangements to view.

Accommodation

All interior woodwork in light mahogany matt silk finish.  Locker doors with solid wood frames and ventilation above.  The floor is varnished teak with inlaid holly stripes.  The saloon ceiling has ivory paneling with mahogany stripes and the ceilings in remainder of boat have ivory headlining.  The cushions on all berths rest on unvarnished, well ventilated boards to avoid condensation.  Handholds throughout the boat.  The boat is carpeted in blue, new in 2016, the curtains and the upholstery are blue.  Webasto diesel fired cabin heating with outlets in aft cabin, saloon and forward cabin.  All interior light are LED.

MAIN SALOON:
Blue upholstery in main saloon.  On port and starboard side there are 2m/6’ 7’’ long settee berths, both with backrests with upper hinges.  On both sides the whole width of the berth can be used for sleeping accommodation.  Lee cloths to both berths.  Between the settees is a dropleaf table with bottle stowage in centre section.  Book shelf.  Pioneer AM/FM radio/CD with mp3 facility and auxiliary input for iPod, with speakers in saloon and cockpit.  Headroom in saloon 1.92m/6’ 3½’’.  3 no Hella Turbo fans.

GALLEY:
Working surface in white laminate with all round mahogany fiddle rail and additional full length fiddle.  Insulated refrigerator with 6 storage baskets and 12v Isotherm water cooled ASU with eutectic plate for chilling and ice making.  Deep, double sink with hot & cold pressurised water.  Drinking water filter.  Fresh water foot pump as reserve.  Salt water pump.  Eno Gascogne two burner gas cooker with oven, gimballed.  230v and 12v sockets.  LED lights above working area.  Cutlery drawer.  Bread board.  Stowage for saucepans and other kitchen utensils.  Waste bin.

HEADS COMPARTMENT:
Bulkheads and lockers in white laminate.  Teak grating.  Wash basin and work top in composite stone.  Mirror.  Separate shower with watertight shower stall. 12v shower waste pump.  Manual pump action marine toilet.  Stainless 70 litres holding tank, emptied by gravity or by deck pump out.  Cupboard above and below washbasin.  Ventilation through opening porthole, opening deck hatch as well as a fixed vent. Cofrano fan.  Headroom 1.93m in the shower, 1.92m in heads compartment.

FORWARD CABIN:
Two 2.05m/6’ 9’’ long berths with stowage above and below.  Hanging locker and vanity unit.  Infill cushion between the berths.  Opening skylight with curtain under.  2 no. Hella Turbo fans.  Mirror behind door.  LED lights fitted.

CHART TABLE:
Chart table seat with spacious chart table.  Shelf with space for mounting instruments.  Electric switch panel to the left of the navigator.  Drawers and stowage slots.  Bookshelves towards the engine room.  2 no. Hella Turbo fans.

WALKTHROUGH:
Rubber sealed two-door access to the engine room off the walkthrough.  Hanging locker to starboard.  Headroom maximum 1.83m/6’.

AFT CABIN:
Single berth to port, double berth to starboard.  Stowage room below and above.  Mirror.  Seat between the berths.  Charging docks for included Icom and Horizon handheld radios.  3 no. Hella turbo fans.
