The Passport 40 is one of Robert Perry’s most successful designs. She is well balanced, fast, sea kindly and a serious offshore performer.
The interior is well thought out and comfortable. It shows exceptionally well with Beau Navire’s beautifully varnished, all teak interior. The owner’s meticulous attention to detail means that every locker opens easily, every storage space is organized and all the systems are in excellent condition. Over the years the prior owner added access panels for additional storage and for access to wiring and chain-plates. The workmanship is equal to or better than the factory.
The vessel is a 1984 Passport 40, purchased new by the previous owner in 1986. Maintenance has been thorough and ongoing. When the water heater was replaced couple of years ago, all water hoses throughout the boat were replaced...Then replaced again in 2017. Whenever electrical work was undertaken, it was completed to a higher standard than the original wiring with new terminal blocks wherever used. All wiring is cable clamped and all is now accessible. Cockpit locker lids and bins are now removable for access to equipment below.
Beau Navire is an incredible boat! See the full specs for more details and CALL THE LISTING BRO KER today!
The layout below decks is standard with a large double quarter-berth cabin to starboard of the companionway with the navigation table immediately forward of the aft cabin. Moving forward, the galley is to port. The main cabin has an L-shaped settee to port with a single settee/berth to starboard. The large dining table is fitted over the vessel's engine box and it folds out to easily seat six comfortably. Forward of the main cabin is the head and shower to port with storage opposite. Continuing forward, you enter the forward cabin that is configured as a traditional v-berth with a fill-in panel to make a large double berth.
The accommodations are cooled via a 16,000 BTU Cruisair air conditioner fitted with digital SMX II controls. SMX controller board has been replaced. For cruising in northern waters, there is a diesel fueled cabin heater in the main cabin.
