DESCRIPTION

The SJ30 is a well thought of club racer from the pencil of Stephen Jones and built by Oyster Marine. "RSJ" is presented in very clean condition and is ready to go out and win races, having placed second in the prestigious Town Cup in Burnham Week 2019. She offers competitive racing at a competitive price.

Accommodation

5 berths in saloon with 6' max headroom. The forepeak is empty but has space for two pipe cots. Marine toilet with hanging locker opposite forward of the mast. Saloon with C-shaped settee berth to port and settee and pilot berth to starboard. The aft end of the boat is has two pipe cots fitted. Galley top port with stowage, S/S sink with hand pump and Mariner two burner and grill gas stove. Large chart table to starboard. Teak and holly floor. Headlinings in the saloon. Red upholstery.

Mechanical Systems

Located in a moulded enclosure under companionway ladder, Yanmar 2YM15 15hp two cylinder diesel engine (new 2012). Fresh water cooled via heat exchanger. Electric start. Single lever Morse controls. Engine serviced July 2019.

Electrical Systems

2 x 12 volt batteries (one new 2019) charging from engine alternator. Electrical distribution panel.

Construction

SJ30 built in 1982 by Oyster Marine to a Stephen Jones design. White GRP hull with blue sheer stripe. White GRP decks with blue painted non-slip surfaces. Cast iron and lead (approx. 25%) fin keel. Tiller steering to spade hung rudder. Tiller extension.
