About the Designer
John Norek pioneered fiberglass boat building in Southern California. He built the molds for the Navy's first 16' fiberglass lifeboat, and in 1959 the first fiberglass boat to ever win The Miami Nassau Race. John worked as a consultant for many companies and designed the popular Pacifica 44 Sportfisher as well as all Owens fiberglass power boat hulls.
