Manufacturer Provided Description

Easily trailed behind a family car and with space enough for the family, friends and gear. The Nelson influenced hull with its deep forefoot and modified V sections ensures a dry comfortable ride whilst the easily driven lines provide impressive and economical performance.
26 inch interior free-board, inset coamings, built in buoyancy, self draining cockpit and ‘big boat’ stability provide the security to run offshore whilst beamy aft sections and shallow draft make for easy launching and enable the fun of exploring shallow creeks and estuaries.
There was a choice of fixed cuddy (HT) or folding dodger (ST) models each offering shelter to keep the family and gear dry. (This example is a fixed cuddy.) A hydraulic helm unit is standard for effortless steering as is the custom switch panel and built in compass. Strong stainless steel cleats and fairleads are among the many practical seaman like features as are convenient storage lockers, vented underfloor fuel locker with gas strutted lid and a dedicated battery compartment. Accessories include stainless steel bow and side rails for added security, a multi roller trailer for hassle free launching and much more. Stylish, easy to handle, economical to run and beautifully built, the Vanguard 170 is in a class of its own.
