The Open 30 is a special ship with a canting keel, very interesting for sailors who like pure speed. The boat was built in Argentina, designed to "fly" over the Argentine sea. On such a racing monster, great forces are placed. The best materials are necessary and therefore also used. In addition, the boat is optimized to get the most out of it. For example, the boat is equipped with a tilt keel system that is unique. This is made entirely electrically and can be operated from the cockpit. A system has been devised that, no matter how the keel is positioned, the keel will be in the middle position with 1 pressure (both sides can be operated) by means of an electric winch and a simple, strong keel box, which keeps the boat watertight. For the mast, all equipment/blocks/lines and the sails the best materials have been used. The 2 rudders have been renewed. These have been extended and made lighter in order to get the most out of the boat in combination with the large sail area and the tilt keel. The boat is equipped with the best equipment in the cockpit, the heaviest version of Raymarine 8000 steering gear with remote control, an i-desk waterproof marine radio from Alphatron with an ac-disk, an electric chart and a Simrad radar.
General:
Type: Open 30, name Tsunami, built 2003, dimensions 9.14 x 4.04 x2.30 m, hull material polyester, imported from Argentina, unique in Europe, unique electric tilt keel, weight 1500 kg, bulb keel 500 kg, tiller, aluminum anchor, no sleeping accommodation, a real day sailor, but with the option to take on bigger adventures. Because of the high rating an IRC rating has been chosen. Insight into the certificate of measurement is possible in consultation

Engine:

2 electo engines Torqeedo 2 x cruise, giving the boat a speed of about 4 knots for 4 to 5 hours.

Rigging:
An almost new mainsail of 3 years old, which was sailed for 1 season. Very light and equipped with UV resistant material in combination with carbon fibers. This makes the sail extra light and stiff at the same time, good for the sail balance in the boat and for the rating, made by Ullman from the material Fiberpath membrame, Carbon/Twaron Black strings, film to film. A spare 3d mainsail of 7 years old, which has sailed for 4 seasons. Furthermore, the boat is equipped with a High Aspect Jib, 24 m2 in Membrane Black Technora with Internal Taffeta, a similar material, brand Van Vliet and 1 season older than the mainsail, also in excellent condition. Furthermore: a gennaker also Van Vliet, also in excellent condition, ideal for downwind raking. Because of the extra wide shoulders the gennaker can be sailed well deep, but at the same time it can also sail sharper to get the most out of the boat. It is a medium thick sail, suitable for light weather but can also have a lot of wind. The gennaker is the machine of the boat and is made extra large and is equipped with a 2 m long carbon extendible tree with iron core. If it gets too sharp for the gennaker, you can switch to one of the two code zeros. A choice can be made between code zero for light weather, spinnaker cloth material. As soon as the wind increases a bit you can choose for a second version, which is equipped with a thin version high tec taffeta/carbon material (dynema lines, shots/tree line (under the tree)/falls). Very light and as strong material as possible. These sails are in excellent condition. In addition a jib in reserve. Finally: a storm jib from North Sails for the longer rafts downwind, or if you really would be in stormy weather.
The entire sail plan is equipped with carbon mast, boom and pbo rigging ( ) for an optimal ratio of weight and stiffness. In addition, all blocks on board are equipped with the best blocks from Harken and Ronstan.

Navigation and equipment:
2 new batteries of 130 Ah. The instruments consist of the best systems such as: Simrad's plotter, Raymarine's heaviest version for the autopilot (very accurate) and B&G screens as meters (version often used for solo sailors). There is also a remote control for the autopilot. There is also a radar (electric) on the rear stand with further antennas. In addition: very good and waterproof ICOM IC -M411 marine radio. Electric winch for the tilt keel.

Gas and water:
no
