The 27 is a relatively heavy boat, with the Yanmar diesel engine sitting low in the center of the boat, which helps create a much smoother ride, but the hull is efficient enough so that the speeds are still excellent. The console itself has a three-sided surface with full electronics, with the gauges and switches arranged above the helm. The raised casting deck forward contains a large, insulated fishbox that drains to the bilge. Two smaller wing boxes hold more loose gear. There is plenty of room for 6 people to fish this boat.
