It is a beautiful double-ended launch built with three layers of wood placed diagonally over glulam frames and fused together with epoxy. The third layer is covered with a 6-ounce fiberglass cloth soaked in epoxy. This is a maintenance-free hull for years to come. The interior is hand fit African Mahogany and Maple with 8 coats of varnish. This vessel is called Loopen after her original creator Mr. Van Loopen who ordered her built to fit on the stern of his Dutch sailing barge. Hence, the 13'6" length which is the length his sailing barge would accommodate. Loopen is ideally suited for harbors and reservoirs. Easy to launch and retrieve with an electric motor which will run for 5hrs or more at moderate speed. The voltage/amperage meter informs the skipper how many amps are being consumed and what voltage remains in the batteries. Loopen is basically a new boat. She has been to the local Ventura harbor 3 times for water trials and photoshoots. Loopen is the 5th boat built by the seller since retiring in 2005 and he has started his 6th. He says she really is the most beautiful boat he has build to date. She will bring her new owner many, many hours of pleasure.
