History And Construction

This yacht was built by Taiwan Overseas Industries Ltd in late 1989 and first commissioned/launched in the UK in 1991.

Conventional GRP construction with the hull and topsides in an original ivory colour gelcoat. Plank caulk lines are moulded into the GRP hull to give the appealing effect of a timber carvel construction. Teak laid decks.

Designed by Ed Monk Jr. with a long production run of around 250 hulls delivered, and still in production up to around 2007 largely unchanged as the Monk 36 model
