Approx 40 feet long, Curlew II is an ex-navy pinnacle boat and is circa 100 years old.

Made of mahogany on an oak frame, she is constructed using double diagonal planking. Her superstructure is a Nelson 34 MKII and is well suited to the hull.

Curlew II is a stunning vessel from an era where strength and quality were not compromised. She is an excellence and a fine example of British Ship Building. 

Most recently she was used as a leisure fishing vessel until June 2020 she now sits on a tidal mooring. Since August the hull has been stripped back to bare wood, some areas of caulking have been repaired using traditional boat building techniques cotton caulking and red lead putty. The hull has 6 layers of aluminium oxide primer, two layers of Teamac light primer and 4 coats off Teamac top coat. The none slip walkways on the superstructure have had new non slip resin coatings applied. There is a small area on the gunwales which needs finishing off and there is a small leak which is kept at bay by 3 automatic bilge pumps which are battery operated with new batteries and charged by solar panels. She has a connection for 240V Shore power. 

Curlew II has ample deck space for in excess of 6-8 people to fish from her, wheelhouse will seat 4 plus skipper and ample space in cabin.  

Engine is Ford D Series and runs well. Can be seen running. Steering is hydraulic 

Cruising speed approx 8 Knots

Below deck you find a V Berth two accommodation with a kitchenette with a plastimo gas twin hob, oven and grill and a small basin. 

Separate heads with sea toilet and hand basin. 

Accessories include Furuno Radar, Chart Plotter, Fish Finder & VHF Radio 

Ready to use virtually straight away subject to repairing minor leak (keel bolt) and some cosmetic work. 

Curlew II also starred on TV as a Thames Police Launch and was purchased from ITV studios approx 10 years ago. 

All work has been completed to date by an experienced competent marine engineer.
