DESCRIPTION

The award-winning 115-foot (35.2m) Nautor’s Swan yacht SHAMANNA’s name means bringing joy and that is exactly what you’ll experience when sailing aboard.

This true high-performance sailing yacht has a pre-preg carbon-fiber hull and superstructure. Her lifting keel with a max draft of 19 feet (5.75m) and minimum of 8 feet, nine inches (3.55m) enables her to go anywhere. She is a flush-deck version of the Swan 115. She features a timeless design and core heritage of Swan with a level of comfort and performance expected of her pedigreed builder. Her new hull shape was designed by German Frers with a plumb bow, wide stern and twin rudders, which increase responsiveness and puts a priority on high-performance. The yacht’s tasteful Scandinavian-style interior provides a fresh and contemporary atmosphere. Large hull windows ensure an abundance of natural light and a connection to the cruising destination. SHAMANNA has Germanischer Lloyd ✠ 100 A5 and MCA LY3 short range certification.

The traditional teak interior is hand built by Nautor’s expert craftsmen with a light oil/wax satin finish and modern details throughout. SHAMANNA retractable keel needs a keel box, which is found in the salon and was used very cleverly to the designer’s advantage. The final design result is stunningly natural. Dining is starboard, adjacent to the entrance to the galley; to port, tranquility and abundance of light are found through the hull windows and down the companion way. SHAMANNA features audio visual equipment of the highest standards throughout, including. Apple media systems, music and video streaming using Mac minis, Apple TV and iPod Touch; all iPods are configured for streaming using the yacht’s internal network.

Ten guests are accommodated in four staterooms. The forward master has a settee to port and vanity desk starboard of the doorway, a centerline king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bidet and stall shower that doubles as a Turkish bath. All usable spaces are functional with drawers and lockers as well as bed side tables. Two guest cabins, both twins, are fitted to the same high standards as the master cabin and both have Pullmans. The VIP is located to port aft of the salon and features a double bed and excellent amenities. All cabins have hull windows and en-suite facilities.

SHAMANNA unabashedly offers excellence before opulence and quality before quantity. She is an exquisite challenge for people with the difficult choice between class and more class. Whether you want to race around the cans or cruise around the world, this superyacht will rise to the occasion.

OVERVIEW

SHAMANNA is the second of Nautor Swan’s flagship 115 Series and arguably the best all round, a true sailor’s yacht. Commissioned by an experienced Swan owner, SHAMANNA ticks all the boxes be they private cruising, charter or picking up trophies at international superyacht regattas.

SHAMANNA is Nautor Swans’ ultimate performance-cruiser and offers luxurious accommodation for up to ten guests in four cabins with the master cabin forward and crew aft.

CONSTRUCTION

The hull laminate is a foam-cored carbon fibre epoxy-reinforced construction from a female mould. A high proportion of the fibres are unidirectional resulting in a stiff structure.

The hull shell is a Sprint/Pre-preg carbon fibre foam sandwich construction, vacuumed and cured at a minimum of 70°C. The core is M-grade Corecell™ San foam, with high density for the more loaded areas.

The stiffeners and structural bulkheads are made of carbon sprint SE70 Prepreg. The bulkheads own a foam core. All openings and cutouts are surrounded by carbon reinforcements.

The chain plates are composite using epoxy resin and unidirectional carbon fibre straps laid over stainless steel bushings.

The main deck is constructed in a carbon fibre SPRINT/pre-preg sandwich construction with Corecell™ core. Coach roof and coamings are of a carbon fibre SPRINT/pre-preg sandwich construction with Corecell™ core. The high-density core is located in way of deck fittings.

ENGINE AND SYSTEMS

Engine

Scania 450 Hp - DI13 070M with Hundestedt variable pitch screw propeller.

Sound & noise: The design brief was strict on low noise target levels.

During anchor/harbour conditions with, generator and air conditioning running at 80%, the levels are: Owners cabin 44 dB (A) / Forward guest cabin 46 Db (A) / Saloon 46 dB (A) /Aft Guest Cabins 46 dB (A). Values are approx. 8 Db higher when running under normal conditions.

Steering:

The steering system is a twin rudder and twin wheel sprocket and a chain system with steel cables, 4 turns H.O. to H.O. The steering cables are independently connected to the rudder.

Isotop carbon fibre/epoxy rudders with a sacrificial tip and weed deflectors. Rudders are supported by self-aligning JP3 bearings.

Steering wheels are Nautor designed and 1400 mm, 3-spoked carbon composite wheels that can be disengaged. The helmsman can adjust the platform he stands on to max. 25 Degrees.

Drainage System

No grey water is drained directly overboard, all is collected in the grey water tanks.

Ventilation & Climate Control

Forced ventilation for all cabins via a central system with speed-controlled inlet and extraction fans. Special attention is paid to avoid the bathroom and galley smells in the cockpit and aft deck area. Inlet filters are easily accessible.

The supply air provides fresh “make-up” air to accommodation spaces. The exhaust air outlets are located in each bathroom and in the galley. Valves on supply and exhaust air ensure a balanced and well-working ventilation system.

The engine room ventilation inlet and outlet ducts are fitted with water traps and remote-controlled fire dampers.

Climate control

A Condaria waterborne central cooling/heating system, 144.000 Btu, 230/400 V AC 50 Hz is for the entire accommodation. The system is designed to operate in Mediterranean and Caribbean climate conditions. AC filters are accessible for routine maintenance. The capacities are laid out so that fans can run at low speed, with less sound.

Electrical system

The electrical system is designed for generator or shore power running and emphasis was given to good accessibility.

The 230/400 V system is fed by the diesel generators or shore power inlet and has a PLC-controlled power shedding system. Split bus type system.
