Sojourner a modern, bright, and spacious 48ft Narrowboat with Joshua style bow. The curvaceous bow enables the vessel to glide through the water with ease. Port hole windows throughout, allowing natural daylight into the cabin and reinforcing security. Built in 2013 and launched in 2017 this boat has only been in the water for 5 years and still less than 500 engine hours!!
Designed in the popular reverse layout, entering the boat via the central stern doors leads into an open planned saloon. A fixed settee is positioned to starboard, this can be used as a single berth when required, alongside is a Boatman multi fuel stove with twin wall insulated flue on a title hearth. A compact 12V fridge is found underneath the steps into the cabin.
A bright and colourful galley with solid walnut worktops, Belfast kitchen sink, built in oven and grill, surface mounted 4 burner gas hob with extractor fan above to remove excess moisture while cooking. A breakfast bar with two stools and ample of cupboard space for storage and crockery. Port and starboard side hatches allows natural light in and additional ventilation into the cabin.
The bathroom features eye catching turquoise tiles. A bath with overhead shower, opposite a ceramic hand basin is set in a vanity unit with a single lever stainless steel mixer tap and mirrored cabinet above. Composting toilet.
A relaxing and practical bedroom, the master cabin has direct access onto the front well deck. A fixed double berth with a huge amount of storage below, with reading light above.
A Boatman multi fuel stove on a slate hearth is located in the saloon with a back boiler running a radiator in the masters cabin; providing plenty of heat on board. The calorifier is connected to the engine circuit providing heat for hot water when running. The stoves back boiler also provides heat for hot water when on.
The 240V system on board simply plugs in to the shoreline providing power to the sockets throughout the boat. When cruising a Victron 800-watt inverter ensures you are never without power. Three 260-watt roof mounted solar panels are fitted for charging the bank of batteries.
