This 52 foot Motor Yacht is a superb, well equipped long distance cruising boat with a range of 2,200nm at 6.5knots and is capable of several days at sea underway. Designed by G.L. Watson as a prototype for the Arun Class RNLI lifeboat, she had re-fits in 2002, 2010, a major re-fit in 2014 and electronics upgrade 2019 at West Coast Marine, Troon. Twin John Deere 265hp diesel engines installed 2014. Large saloon, separate galley, master cabin (with a bath!), and three further cabins, all en-suite. Saloon

Entrance to the saloon by sliding single door from stern deck. To port, staircase down to the engine room and aft cabin. This en-suite cabin has a single berth and small double berth with washing machine and tumble drier fitted below. Large opening portlights, LED lighting, hanging wardrobe, large chest of drawers with work/storage area. Engine room accessed through door.

In the saloon, L shaped settee to port with extending dining table, storage below the settee. Linear storage cabinets to starboard. Large windows to port and starboard, holly and cherry flooring, LED lighting and fluorescent side lighting. Forward from saloon, passageway with galley to port and forward through to the wheelhouse. To starboard in wheelhouse, staircase down to the cabins.

Aft from stairs, master cabin has a centreline double berth, en-suite heads with a bath, vanity units, hanging lockers, chest of drawers, storage, bookcases, full length mirror and opening portlights. Re-upholstered and carpeted 2014/15. Going forward, single berth en-suite cabin to starboard and also a V berth en-suite bow cabin with two berths, storage lockers, opening deck hatch, access to chain locker, bow thruster battery and charger under floor hatch.

Further information

Current owner from 2017. The previous owner was from 2002 to 2017 and during this time he sailed to Shetland, Scilly Islands and circumnavigated Ireland twice using 'Silver Dee' for amateur diving expeditions. After her 2014/15 refit, including two new John Deere 265hp engines, the owner sailed the boat from Troon to the Mediterranean in a two week voyage. The boat was based in Antibes and regularly sailed along the Côte d’Azur, Corsica and the Balearic Islands. 'Silver Dee' was then sailed back to Troon in 2018.
'Silver Dee' has a range in excess of 2,200 nautical miles at 6.5 knots and has cruised in the past for two-three days non-stop. Her top speed is just over 11 knots and cruises economically at 9.3 knots, about 30 litres per hour.
The current owner has sailed her over 5,500 nautical miles since 2018 and has sailed her as far north as Cape Wrath and out to St Kilda.
