The Moody 31 MKII fin keel is fast becoming a classic family cruising yacht thanks to their comfortable accommodation, good all-round performance and sugar scoop stern and tiller steering. “Twilight” is an extremely good example of her kind, having been very well cared for. We would recommend an early viewing. A 2015 survey report is available on request.
Accommodation :
Six berths in three cabins with two double berths outside of the saloon with approximately 6' 2" maximum headroom. V berth forward with infill to convert to a double berth, with good storage. Saloon with settee berths either side of the table with useful stowage in various lockers and cupboards. Galley aft to starboard consisting of an Aqua Chef two-burner gas cooker with grill and oven, top loading fridge, stainless steel sink and storage. Separate heads compartment aft to port with Jabsco marine toilet, wash basin. Double aft cabin to starboard with storage and portlight. Manual cold-water supply. Teak and holly saloon floor to fore and aft cabins. Heated throughout via a Webasto diesel heater, beige upholstery, Radio/CD, TV/DVD player.

Designed by Bill Dixon. Built in 1987 by Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd. Only one previous owner. White GRP hull with style stripes. White GRP coachroof with moulded non-skid decks. Fin keel. Tiller steering to skeg hung rudder. Self-draining cockpit and anchor well. Alloy toe rails. Stainless steel rails and guard wires. Sugar scoop type transom.

Sails and Spars:

Masthead Bermudan sloop rig. Silver anodised aluminium mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging led aft to cockpit. Slab reefing to mainsail with stackpack plus lazyjack system.  Furling system for headsail.

Winches:

2 x Lewmar 40 self-tailing sheet winches.

1 x Lewmar 30 halyard winch.

Mechanical Systems:
Located under companionway in vented and sound proofed compartment. 1987 Volvo Pentahp, three-cylinder diesel engine (last serviced 2021 by the owner), with electric start and reduction gearbox with reverse gear. Shaft drive via P-bracket to fixed three blade propeller. Single lever engine controls. Approx. 90 litre fuel capacity. Last out of water maintenance September 2021.
Electrical Systems:
2 x 12-volt domestic batteries new 2021 and 1 x 12 volt engine battery new 2020 charging from engine alternator, battery charger. Shore power connection with 240-volt ring main.
