Another Price Reduction (9/19) on this Long-range Trawler
DO THE GREAT LOOP or CROSS THE PANAMA CANAL
Rare finds like KIMTAH don't come around that often. This Ed Monk designed Trawler is truly one of a kind. Designed by Ed Monk, the naval architect, and built by Garren Blakely, the well known builder of Commercial fishing boats in the Pacific Northwest, KIMTAH is a 'go-anywhere', stable platform for long-range cruising. Do the Great Loop or cross the Panama Canal - KIMTAH is substantial and she will get you there and back safely.
The current owners have lovingly maintained and lived aboard for the last twenty years having cruised as far north as Alaska. After voyaging all the way down the West Coast, through the Panama Canal and all around Central America, KIMTAH's owners have found their way back to the East Coast. Throughout that time, many substantial upgrades have been done to increase the seaworthiness and liveability of KIMTAH, including:
- Hydraulic Stabalizers (to decrease sea roll)
- Northern Lights generator
- Hydraulic bow thruster
- Hydraulic anchor windlass
- Spectra water maker
- Full-size residential washer, dryer and dishwasher
- Vacuflush toilet
- Stern professionally extended 3 feet (added storage, fuel tanks and swim platform)
The Sellers have decided it's time to fully return to land and regret not being able to make the return voyage to the West Coast, but time is of the essence and the boat must go to new owners who will continue the plan. A quick sale is intended and all reasonable offers are appreciated. You cannot find another custom cruising trawler with this feature set at a similar price point anywhere.
