Designed and built by Poul Molich's Hundested boatyard, north west of Copenhagen, this rare and particularly beautiful classic Molich X Meter has been with the same family since 1993; She is well equipped and in very good condition.
Molich's reputation for the quality of build, attention to detail, and creating from scratch every single part of a vessel was second to none. This attention to detail is certainly evident in the Molich X Meter (also known as the Molich 10 Meter).
This Molich X Meter sleeps four in a forward V-berth which converts to a double and twin berths in the saloon, and benefits from continual maintenance with new sails (April 2020) and recently replaced teak decks, sail drive engine, electrical system, cushions, water and diesel tanks, windows, boom cover, cockpit tent and sprayhood.
Although the Molich X Meter was intended as a fast sailing yacht, it has also had great success as a cruising yacht, combining speed with excellent seagoing capabilities and a robust ability to withstand everything.
Construction of these special yachts stopped during the '90s with the price of a newbuild Molich X Meter with equipment expected in a new boat approaching 1 million.
Today it is a boat for connoisseurs who go for the beautiful lines, the good sailing properties and the great quality that Poul Molich stood for.

1)
In 2018 a 1-2 centimeter diameter section of osmosis was found on the starboard side, she was not sandblasted because the boatbuilder said “it is 40 years old, the boat is not sandwich construction build but pure fiberglass, is it not even soft at the spot, don't sandblast your boat”
So he recommended that the antifouling was removed and the boat washed with plenty of fresh-water after which five New layers of International VCtar (epoxy primer) were added then International VC17 antifoul applied.
Looking at the boat now after a winter on land it is very hard to see where it was.

The boat is 40 years old, a new owner might consider painting the freeboard.
