1980, Mirage 26 with bilge keels, Beta Marine 16hp diesel fitted around 8 years ago, Mainsail and furling Genoa were replaced around 2008, standing rigging around 2004, lots of gear including dinghy and outboard motor!

MECHANICAL

Beta Marine 16hp inboard diesel engine fitted around 8 years ago by Tollesbury Marine Engineering. 8 gallon fuel tank. Shaft drive to 3 blade fixed propeller. Alternator charging to 2 x 12v batteries. Cruising speed under engine around 4.5 knots with a maximum of about 6.3 knots.

NAVIGATION

Compass, Clipper Duet echo sounder and log, Quasar VHF radio, FM/AM radio, windvane at masthead, tiller-pilot, Garmin GPS, sextant, navigation lights, steaming light, tri-colour light and anchor light.

SAFETY

Lifejackets, safety harnesses, distress flares, fire extinguisher, manual bilge pump.

DECK GEAR

Stainless steel pushpit pulpit and guardwires, dodgers, cockpit cover, boarding ladder, tiller, sheet winches and halyard winches, inflatable dinghy with mariner outboard motor, CQR anchor with chain and warp, manual anchor windlass, mooring warps and fenders.

SAILS

Slab reefing mainsail (Jeckells c2008) with mainsail cover. Genoa roller reefing system with furling No 1 Genoa (Jeckells c2008). All lines led aft to cockpit. Alloy mast and boom, stainless steel standing rigging (standing rigging replaced around 2004).

DOMESTIC

240v shore power and battery charger. Galley with gas cooker and grill, various pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, water supply to sink from 10 gallon tank. Separate heads compartment with marine toilet and wash basin. Oatmeal upholstery.
ACCOMMODATION
She has 5 berths in 2 cabins including 2 "V" berths in the separate forward cabin and 2 single settee berths in the saloon either side of a drop down table one of which makes a double.

OWNERS COMMENTS

"Clearwing" was purchased by her present owner in 1987 as the third owner. Her owner tells us that she has proved to be a safe, reliable and roomy family cruiser, ideal for the East Coast with shallow draft and the ability to dry out. Her owner has made a number of improvements over the years but feels he is now too old to make good use of the boat.
