This Marc Lombard 46 'Pata Negra' was designed in 2016 to race under IRC and with her powerful fast hull she excels both inshore and offshore and has some great results to prove it including winning not only IRC but the overall prize in the 2018 Sevenstar Round Britain and Ireland Race and winning the Antigua - Bermuda race in IRC overall.

Designed by Marc Lombard with yachts such as Beneteau Figaro's, IMOCA 60's, and Class 40's to his name, Pata Negra benefits from being designed by one of the world's most renowned naval architects and yacht designers.

She is remarkably well set up and race-ready with a full suit of racing sails including asymmetric spinnakers, carbon bowsprit and twin wheels. Her hull shape and twin rudders mean she is remarkably stable both up and downwind. 

Although a high-performance IRC racing boat, 'Pata Negra' proved that she is also predictable and easy to handle, this was demonstrated when she came third in IRC 1 in the RORC Caribbean 600 in 2019, six members of the crew had never been offshore before and were more used to sailing small keelboats on lakes!

Pata Negra has a roomy interior with light painted surfaces and oak veneered furniture. Deck is optimized for racing with a spacious cockpit but also a portable table and cushions for enjoying sunsets with family and friends.

Pata Negra is made from e-glass, airex foam in different densities and Duratek epoxy resin. Hull, deck and structure are made in female toolings with vacuum-assisted infusion. Her carbon rudder spars, blades and bowsprit are all prepreg carbon fiber.
