SantanA has proven herself as a strong and comfortable sailing yacht during her journey across the world's seas. She is suitable to sail all cold areas due to her perfect insulation. She offers a lot of space because of her wide hull. The large windows allow a lot of light to enter, making it a great pleasure to live in this ship. A lot of attention has been paid to keep the ship technically simple and orderly. This also makes all technology accessible.
The interior is executed in teak. 1 cabin in the front of the ship with a double bed, 1 cabin Starboard in front of the galley with a double bunk bed and a large single bed in the front and a cabin under the cockpit on the starboard side with 1 bed / office in the back, good for back watch at night. The beds are at least 2mtr long.
There is one large bathroom equipped with an electric toilet (Tecma), washing machine 220 V, marble worktop with double sink and a shower with standing height. The floor is polyester.
The kitchen worktop is granite, there is a combination sink in it, small/large, with 2 taps, of which 1 tap is connected to salt/ice water. The drinking water system is electric. The hot water comes from the central heating boiler or from the boiler, the latter can be heated by 220V or by the engine.
The stoves consist of 3 x 2 hotplates, 2 x electric 220V/Generator and 1 x 2 on gas. There is also an oven/grill available on 220V/Generator.
There is 1 fridge (approx 170 ltr.) and 1 freezer (50ltr.) The latter can also be used as a refrigerator. Both run on their own Isotherm 24V compressor (air cooling).
Extra low sliding hatch over the entrance, and a retractable entrance door.
The yacht is heated by the boiler and in addition, during engine use the cooling water can be used as interior heating by 2 heat exchangers.
The engine is a John Deere 6068T, 6.8ltr, 225 HP, Twindisk MG 5050 gearbox 2.45 : 1, 3-blade nickel alu-bronze propeller 28", pitch 20mm, wet exhaust with alarm. Hydraulic bow thruster (15HP) and centreboard is electrically hydraulically operated.
The ship is cutter rigged, with an aluminum 1280 Hallspar mast and boom. The sails were made in 2021 by sailmaker de Vries in Lemmer, consisting of: battened mainsail 72 m2, jib 26 m2, jib 62 m2 and a storm jib 15 m2 orange; the latter is not from 2021.The canvas is intended for the toughest conditions; Half winder 190 m2. The mainsail is fastened to the mast with the Frederikson/Ronstan ballbearing profile 30mm. The backstay can be adjusted manually using a Holmatro hydraulic tensioner. (2021)
