Designed by naval architect Marc Lombard with interior styling by Piaton Bercault, the Sun Odyssey 380 complete with the award-winning walk-around deck, follows the same design trend of its predecessors the Sun Odyssey 410, 440, and 490. Designed with performance in mind, the Sun Odyssey 380 features a powerful hull with a long graceful waterline. A large cockpit, twin wheels, dual rudders, an integrated bowsprit, and a high aspect Selden rig combine to deliver an exceptional sailing experience that even the most competitive sailor will appreciate. Engineered for choice with a variety of cabin configurations available, the Sun Odyssey 380 features a traditional layout in a contemporary style. Whether overnighting, entertaining, or day sailing, the Sun Odyssey 380, like the 410, 440, and 490, strikes the perfect balance between performance and comfort.

Accommodation

The layout specified at the moment is the two cabin with one head, a large cockpit locker plus separate shower cubicle to the main heads compartment in Grey Cedar woodwork. However, this can be changed to your preference with a choice of a further 3 layouts.

The fit out has one floor level with no door sills, leather wrapped hand rails, LED lighting and both double berths are completely rectangular. There is a choice of saloon fabrics (ambiance Turquoise specified at the moment) plus upholstered main bulkheads, blinds and screens for windows and hatches.

There is a good size chart table at the navigation station. This has all the electrical panels plus laptop and gear storage.

The L shaped galley has double stainless steel sinks, gas cooker with grill and oven, and a large 160 litre fridge. Waste bin and cutlery drawer. Very wide additional galley drawer under the port saloon berth end. Wine bottle stowage under the saloon sole.

The heads compartment has a marine toilet with holding tank and a sink plus plenty of storage. Hot and cold pressurised fresh water system. There is a dedicated shower compartment entirely separate from the heads compartment with a locker and removable oilskin hanging bar plus access door to the huge cockpit locker.

Saloon has the Deluxe folding saloon table with a double berth conversion on the port side and settee berth to starboard with a fixed arm rest.

The aft cabin has a large double berth (2.00m x 1.82m) and fully retractable access door for more space in the cabin.

The forward cabin has an offset rectangular double berth (2.00m x 1.35m). Two large hull ports plus two excellent hanging lockers with shelving.

Diesel fired central heating system.

Four large hull ports, many opening ports and flush deck hatches.

Spars & Sails

Fractional double spreader rig by Selden, deck stepped. Boom with lowered gooseneck for additional sail area and ease of packing the sail away and putting the halyard on the head. Rod kicker. Harken self tailing primary and secondary winches. All sheets led aft to the helm positions with a German mainsheet system. Lazyjacks. Y bridle mainsheet system. Adjustable sheet friction rings. Facnor headsail furling system. Single line slab reefing led aft to cockpit. Down wind package included (halyard, sheets, deck fittings, extra coachroof winch, extra winch handle and windex).

Mechanical Systems

Located under companionway in vented and soundproofed compartment. This boat has the 40hp Yanmar 3JH40 engine (30hp is standard). Shaft drive to three bladed fixed propeller. Single lever engine control. 125 Ah alternator. The engine comes with a pre handover PDI and full warranty.

Construction

Built by Jeanneau in 2022. White grp hull with style stripes. Full length hull chine with negative angle and flying bow to extend the waterline and prevent slamming. The large beam at the waterline gives a shallow hull (less wetted surface are), more buoyancy forward and a more powerful sailing hull shape. White grp coachroof with moulded non skid decks. Walk around side decks, unique to Jeanneau. Self draining cockpit and anchor well. Integrated bowsprit with central anchor stowage, Code 0 and asymmetric tack points. Teak to cockpit seats, fold down swim platform and cockpit sole. Twin wheels to twin rudders and self aligning rudder bearings. Cast iron keel (shoal keel specified, deep fin and lift keels available). Flush hatches.
