5'2" Shallow Shoal Draft
The Jeanneau is a classic sailing vessel, sloop rigged, built for recreational cruising but fully capable of blue water passages. It
has a bulb keel, spade rudder and deck stepped mast. The arrangement of the cockpit provides good visibility and that along with roller furling on both the main and head sail plus fairleads being led aft can accommodate sailing solo as well as with a crew or guests. Below decks is a large cabin which combines comfort, contemporary styling and functionality. Sleeping accommodations include a forward stateroom with its own head and desk, double convertible dinette and single settee in the salon and an aft stateroom with queen berth with adjoining settees. There is a full sized galley, extraordinary chart station and second stand-up head with shower accessible from both the salon and aft stateroom. There is extensive use of wood for bulkheads, cabinetry and trim. Extras on this particular vessel include a generator, inverter, bow thruster, power winch and radar. Power comes from a 54 hp Yanmar diesel inboard engine.
TRANSOM: Walk-through FRP transom with swim platform with teak insert. Cockpit boarding centerline. Drained compartment in swim platform centerline holding fold out/down stainless steel boarding ladder with stainless steel grab handle, both firmly attached. The transom also holds window to the aft stateroom, engine ventilation vents, thru-hull, emergency boarding line access plug, stern pulpit, davit and gin pole supports and hot/cold wash down shower with faucet (on entry starboard side bulkhead.) Hailing port affixed.
DECK CONSTRUCTION TYPE/MATERIAL: Side decks and fore decks are cored FRP with white gelcoat and non-skid surface in very good condition. No soft or springy areas. No delamination as detected by hammer sounding. No cracks, crazing or other surface abrasions. Moisture meter readings are dry.
COCKPIT: Large molded FRP cockpit with teak inlaid outboard seating for helmsman and up to six crew or guests. Black cloth (with copper/beige striping) cockpit seat cushions stored in the aft berth in good condition. Bulkheads port and
starboard hold the helms (steering wheels and electronic instruments) and separate the bridge from the rest of the cockpit. A console in the center has fold up FRP table (works), storage, electronic instrument, DC outlet, stainless steel grab rails and socket/switch for a removable light not currently mounted but stored in the aft berth port hanging locker. Portlights to the aft stateroom in port and starboard seat forward bulkheads. Lazarettes aft under the same seats and under the port helm seat. LPG locker under the starboard helm seat. Aft cockpit coamings lift to provide access to water fill fitting (starboard) and fuel fill fitting and shore power inlets (port). Speakers on the bulkheads beneath each. The starboard aft bulkhead also has throttle/gear control, the corresponding port bulkhead the hand bilge pump, Cabin entry is forward.
The stern seat lazarette provides storage and access to machinery space at the transom. Contained therein are generator, a set of shore power main breakers, galvanic isolator and various hoses and thru-hull fittings.
The port and starboard seat lazarettes provide storage.
The cockpit coamings show no delamination by hammer sounding, have no surface abrasions and read dry on the moisture meter.
The cockpit sole is not soft or springy and shows no delamination by hammer sounding. No surface abrasions. Moisture meter readings are dry. Hatch for access to the emergency tiller mount is centerline aft.
HELM: Dual helm.
Starboard side has steering wheel and engine instrument/control panel with tachometer/hour meter, ignition/start/stop
buttons, alarm and indicator lights. Also compass, throttle/gear controls, bow thruster control and autopilot. Port side has steering wheel, compass, wind and speed/depth instruments.
Radar/chart plotter/GPS is on the center console.
HULL-TO-DECK JOINT
TYPE: The hull-to-deck joint is only visible in the chain locker and is an overlap type. Good condition where sighted.
FASTENERS: Stainless steel screws on 6" centers which also fasten on the rub rail.
REINFORCEMENT: Joint is glassed over. DECK FITTINGS
STANCHIONS: Stainless steel stanchion and lifeline system runs the perimeter of the vessel between the bow and stern pulpits with boarding gates port and starboard at cockpit entry. Stanchions are well bedded and firmly attached and the system is high enough to provide protection against a standing person falling overboard.
BOW PULPIT (BOW RAIL): Stainless steel stanchion and rail system. Well bedded and firmly attached. Holds the side (red/green) navigation lights.
TOE RAILS: 3/4'' wide x 1 3/4" high teak toe rails. Good condition.
AIR CONDITIONING UNITS:Three self-contained air conditioning units, one for the aft stateroom located in the starboard aft cabinet; one for the salon under the forward dinette seat and that for the forward stateroom under the sole of the port hanging locker. Further details later in the Air Conditioning and Heat Section.
TELEVISIONS: Three televisions aboard the vessel, one in the salon and one in each stateroom. Various makes and sizes. All power up. Tracvision control box behind the port salon settee.
STEREO, ETC.: Fusion brand stereo at the nav station. Speakers on forward salon bulkheads, aft berth aft bulkheads and in the cockpit. Operates normally in radio mode (only one tested.)
CONDITION AND DEFICIENCIES:The overall house keeping for this vessel is above average. It reflects the care on the part of the previous owner(s).
GALLEY
LOCATION: Starboard side aft main cabin. White laminate counters with wood fiddle rails.
SINKS: Double molded rectangular sink. Single lever hot/cold faucet(works). Fold-down cover to increase counter space. REFRIGERATION: Large refrigerator/freezer built into and under galley counter. Separate smaller refrigerator under the nav
station. Both operates normally from control on the DC electrical panel.
STOVE/OVEN: Eno brand gimbaled two burner LPG stove with oven. Operates normally. MICROWAVE: Frigidaire brand turntable microwave above the counter. Operates normally.
