DESCRIPTION

Trocar was commissioned by her first owner as an IOR racer and went on to sail her in twelve Fastnet races, winning prizes in ten of them; the last in 1993 and 3rd overall in 1975. She was last raced in 1996. Her present owner, a skilled cabinet maker, bought her in 2001 and completely refurbished and restored the boat to her original condition. A survey on completion of this work commented that she was now 'better than new'. Trocar is a typical Kim Holman design with elegant lines, impeccable handling and a good turn of speed. Over the recent years she has had a new mast and rigging, new engine, electronics, teak deck, sails, electric anchor windlass, upholstery, cooker and much more. She is presented for sale in fantastic condition and only needs antifouling (and possibly new standing rigging) before launching and would be ready to join the Classic Yacht circuit immediately. Beautifully built and maintained to the highest standard, this is a classic yacht that will turn heads wherever she sails.
