The Nonsuch 30 is a spacious, stable, comfortable, simple to sail and surprisingly fast cruiser.
In 1978 Hinterhoeller built four Nonsuch 30 sailboats. The results were astonishing. They have since built over 1,000 Nonsuch catboats both large and small. This explosive popularity is the result of designing a better way to go sailing. Built with integrity and conviction, Nonsuch simply out sails every cruising sailboat being built today. The Nonsuch hull is an efficient, compact, modern sailing machine. A long waterline for speed, great beam for stability and a highly developed fin keel and balanced spade rudder have put Nonsuch in a special sailing league. This exceptional hull, which provides such stability and windward ability, has been fitted with an unstayed mast and a wishbone boom. The advantages of this simple rig are many. One large sail is more efficient than two smaller ones. The wishbone boom eliminates the need for a traveller and a vang. The flexible unstayed mast provides both stability and upwind ability and it is an exceptional advantage in heavy air. The wishbone boom, (which holds the sail when furled or reefed) and the free standing mast work in concert so any size Nonsuch can be sailed by one person. This puts the joy, the fun and the safety of sailing back in the hands of you, the sailor, and you do it all from the cockpit.
Well maintained, well equipped and much loved boat only the 2nd owner from 2008; reluctantly giving up the cruising and downsizing but the time has come.
Sensible offers will be seriously considered
